Conquering fear & learning to trust people again.

Update: Jay was adopted on May 14th!

Jay is very much like the majority of dogs we rescue from other shelters. They are traumatized and confused by being rejected from their families, and sometimes they are needing to heal emotionally too from being hurt by those who they trusted.

Jay was at another shelter, hiding and shaking in the back of his kennel. We knew with love, time, patience, and a steady routine, he would open his heart again and begin to trust us to care for him and ensure that he is adopted into a committed home.

He is improving all the time, but like all of us, he remains a work in progress. He sure loves when the volunteers walk and play with him every day.

Jay is great with other dogs. He is a uniquely handsome small mixed breed, perhaps with Spaniel & Terrier & Toy, approximately 2-3 years young.

Helping him continue to emerge from his shell and become the best boy he can be will give you lifelong rewards and his whole-hearted devotion.

Twinkie is the tiniest of dogs -- only 3 pounds! -- but he has enormous unconditional love to share with you.  He is a super cute, super sweet Yorkshire Terrier, neutered boy, 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Another shelter asked us to rescue Twinkie because of his dental needs.  We had his teeth cleaned and he is now ready for a forever home.  An experienced home is required for his safety due to his exceptionally small size.

We are Cocker Spaniel & Scottish Terrier mix puppies now ready for adoption into loving, forever homes.

Anna Beanie Little Eric Michelle Nicholas Sisters Anna and Michelle , and their brothers Beanie , Little Eric , and Nicholas , are very affectionate babies who love giving you kisses. We rescued their pregnant mother, a Cocker Spaniel named Mary Poppins from a government-funded shelter.  She had reportedly been bred with a Scottish Terrier.  We placed Mary Poppins in a loving foster home and she gave birth to these five angels and raised them there. Mary Poppins is going to be adopted by her foster family.  Her puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

Update 2: Jellybean was adopted on November 11th! Update: Licorice was adopted on November 9th! Licorice and Jellybean , brother and sister, are nicknamed " The Sweet Candy Puppies " due to their affectionate, adorable temperaments. They are most likely Retriever mixes and may grow to medium or large size. They are spayed/neutered, approximately 3 months of age, and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The Sweet Candy Puppies were rescued after being found abandoned on the streets. Jellybean was injured with a hairline fracture in her right rear leg. We had her leg treated and it had been bandaged and she was resting for nearly a month. She recovered beautifully. Licorice and Jellybean can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship. They are terrific together!
