Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Emmie , 11, is an incredibly delightful little lady who needs someone to love and adore. She needed us when her previous owner passed away. Emmie is a Toy Poodle, housetrained (and paper-trained), good with dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Virtue, now healing. Virtue, day of rescue. Virtue is now shaved down, eating premium food, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines. Emotionally though, her healing will take much, much longer.    In addition to the extreme neglect, Virtue reportedly witnessed horrors that have traumatized her and resulted in a deep fear of people. Virtue is a Maltese & Toy Poodle mix, 8 years of age, and debuting for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    She is compatible with cats and dogs (and we believe she is likely to adjust best in a home with a big sister or brother dog).    When very fearful, she is nippy, so an experienced, adult-only home is essential for her continued progress.

Damon's spirit is rebounding beautifully and he is now ready to join a loving, forever home.  He is a Toy Poodle, about 6 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Damon enjoys other dogs and he is drawn to gentle people.  At the time of rescue he was found cowering in a Las Vegas street where he was nearly struck by vehicles.  He was in very poor and matted condition, and understandably terrified.  (Sometimes dogs who are abandoned in the middle of roads will remain there or return there expecting their previous owners to come back for them.)  Damon is now shaved down for a fresh start, eating premium food, and he's so grateful for everyone's kindness.

At the time of rescue Felicia had been inside her home with her deceased owner for several days.  She was in poor condition from trauma and hunger and confusion.  You can still see pain and anxiety in her eyes, but Felicia is improving and stabilizing, now groomed and eating premium food and being reassured by volunteers and staff.  Felicia is a tender-hearted Toy Poodle, just under 10 pounds, about 7 years of age, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She will do best in a gentle home environment and she is compatible with other sweet dogs.

Dylan was found roaming on the Vegas streets with no sign of responsible ownership.  He was matted and limping.  Dylan is now cleaned and groomed, and eating premium probiotic food, and his limping is diminishing.  He is an apricot & white Toy Poodle, 1 year young, now neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Dylan enjoys other dogs and needs regular professional grooming.  It has been beautiful watching this sweet youngster awaken to the realization that he is worthy of love and care and kindness.

China Doll was so matted and filthy she had sores on her skin.  She was at another shelter and needed dental care too.  We rescued her and one of our staff took her home (as a foster parent) to clean her up and begin her emotional healing.  (We also had dental care provided for her.)  China Doll's transformation has been remarkable, so you'll excuse our exuberance with pampering her in ribbons and a dress.  China Doll is a 5-pound angel, a Toy Poodle, 18 months young, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She likes to dance, be held in your lap, and snuggle up in blankets.  We never want China Doll to feel forgotten or worthless again.

Polly was at another shelter, homeless, with very few teeth left, at 14 years of age.  She is an 8-pound angel, capable of tremendous unconditional love, and we are grateful we were able to bring her into the safety of Nevada SPCA.  Polly debuts for adoption today.  She is a Toy Poodle, spayed, good with other dogs, and she needs regular grooming care.  Let's find her the best home where she feels at peace and knows she is loved and appreciated.

Fluffy was found running scared near one of the busiest intersections in Las Vegas. It was clear he had been neglected for years and his teeth were rotten.  Fluffy is now shaved and his teeth have been pulled.  Some sparks of hope are coming into his eyes and he is gaining weight steadily with soft food and treats.  Fluffy is a very gentle Toy Poodle, about 10 years of age, neutered boy, debuting triumphantly for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is on daily medication for a heart murmur and needs a calm lifestyle routine.  Please help him find a hero.

Leo is a quiet-natured boy recovering well from devastating neglect and he valiantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is a 10-pound Toy Poodle mix, about 5 years of age, neutered, and good with other sweet dogs.  At the time of rescue he was at another shelter with multiple open wounds.  Leo is now healed and the plant material stuck in his long coat has been shaved away.  Leo needs regular professional grooming and daily medication for allergies.

At the time of rescue Reuben was found in the flood basin/wash. He was extremely matted and filthy, but probably just recently abandoned because he would not survive the coyotes there for long.  The physical improvements came easiest -- shaving him completely down and putting him on premium food -- but the emotional healing will take time and patience.  Reuben is gentle, and his spirit is reviving. We look forward to the day when Reuben will be light-hearted and very relaxed.  Reuben is a Toy Poodle, about 5 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Hula Hoop earns her name with her excitable, wiggly dance!  She is a precious Malti-Poo puppy (Maltese & Toy Poodle), spayed girl, 3 months of age, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue she was very sick with the deadly parvo virus.  We had extensive medical care provided for her and she triumphantly made a full recovery!

Sophia Puchie Sophia & Puchie are precious babies, sister and brother, and they are fun and frisky and very sweet. They are Poodle & Chihuahua & Terrier mixes with the appearance of tiny lambs.  Each weighs just 9 pounds.  They are spayed/neutered and about 9 months of age. They are tremendous together, so we give preference to adopting them together for lifelong companionship. We rescued Sophia & Puchie from another shelter.  They are reportedly already housetrained and no reason was given for their surrender there. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

At the time of rescue this angelic baby girl was extremely sick with parvo virus. Her previous owner was unwilling and/or unable to provide the emergency medical care needed to save her life, so she was surrendered to us. Her initial prognosis for survival was poor, but we rushed her into intensive care at a veterinary hospital, and after extensive treatment, she valiantly made a full recovery. Summer is now ready for adoption into a loving forever home.  She is Toy Poodle puppy, spayed, about 7 months of age.  She gives light kisses and has a joyful nature. She enjoys other dogs and needs regular professional grooming care. Summer is alive thanks to donations to Nevada SPCA from caring people like you who support our rescue and rehabilitation work for community animals in need.  Thank you.

Update: Mi Moe was adopted on January 28th! Mi Moe is an affectionate youngster who enjoys snuggling and kissing your face. He is a Toy Poodle mix, neutered boy, about 2 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Mi Moe from a government-funded shelter that ran out of space for him. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for him and budget accordingly.  He had a cherry eye condition in his left eye at the time of rescue, but we had this repaired (no additional medical treatment is needed at this time, but your veterinarian will want to monitor his eye through the years). Mi Moe is compatible with other sweet dogs and we believe he will do best in a gentle home.

Update: Chloe was adopted on December 4th! Chloe is a precious youngster who loves to cuddle. She is very social and needs much attention and adoration each day. Chloe is a Toy Poodle mix, spayed, about 18 months of age, debuting for adoption today. She needed us when her previous owner lost the family home. Chloe is good with other sweet dogs, and she is reportedly housetrained and fine with kind, older children. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for her and budget extra accordingly.

Update: Freeda was adopted on November 13th! We think of precious little Freeda like a blooming flower with magnificent potential. She is a very sensitive youngster, building self-esteem still, so a quiet home is best for her.  With those she trusts, she gives her heart fully. Freeda is a Toy Poodle with warm, expressive eyes.  She is spayed, about 3 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued this sweetheart from another shelter that had run out of space to keep her. She is great with other friendly dogs, and we believe she may do best in a home with another dog (like a big brother or big sister dog) who will help her adjust and fit in just that much faster. Please plan on regular grooming care for Freeda , budgeting extra accordingly.

Update: Benji was adopted on September 11th! Bursting with joy and enthusiasm, Benji's spirits are soaring. He is full of character and dances to get your attention. Benji's new-found enthusiasm stems from his recovery from extremely severe neglect that included bite wounds, open sores, hair loss (from malnutrition and scabs), and painful ear infections. He is a Toy Poodle mix, neutered male, 2 years young, and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Benji enjoys other dogs and he needs regular professional grooming care. Please visit and ask for this cheery little boy by name.

Update: Mandy was adopted on September 25th! Besides a patient, tender new owner, Mandy would love to have a nurturing dog serve as a pseudo-guide dog for her. She is nearly blind due to cataracts in both eyes. She is all sweetheart, outgoing and affectionate. Mandy is a Toy Poodle, spayed female, about 10 years of age. She needed us when her previous owner became too ill to care for her. Mandy reportedly is housetrained and compatible with kind, mature children. Please plan on regular grooming care for her. We had her teeth cleaned and her hernia repaired. She is doing well now and debuts for adoption today.

Update: Tiny was adopted on August 9th! As you know, it is natural for Tiny and other puppies to be super playful and eager to explore their homes and yards. But babies are routinely surrendered to us from owners who are overwhelmed with the extra work required to socialize them and help them develop into well-balanced, well-behaved adults. Tiny is a dazzling puppy! He is often silly, always engaging, and happy to spend special time with you. He is a Toy Poodle mix, neutered male, approximately 8 months of age. Besides being compatible with dogs, he is reportedly good with cats, and housetrained too. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for Tiny and budget extra accordingly. Tiny debuts for adoption today.

Update: Shorty was adopted on July 23rd! Just being around Shorty will help put you in a good mood. He is a peppy, whimsical boy full of great cheer. Shorty is a Toy Poodle, neutered, and young at heart at 7 years of age. Besides being good with other dogs, Shorty is reportedly compatible with cats and older, mature children. Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming care. Shorty needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship. He debuts for adoption today.
