A guardian angel must have saved me.

Update: Lucy was adopted on January 31st!

Lucy is a dainty kitten with a tender, gentle spirit and affectionate nature.

She is a shorthair feline, brown tabby & white, with striking facial features, spayed girl, about 6-7 months of age.

This sweetheart was reportedly among a large litter of kittens ravaged by a loose dog, all of who were killed during the attack except for Lucy (and she had severe injuries).

The neighbor who witnessed the attack was devastated and rushed Lucy to an emergency veterinary clinic to try to save her life (since the kittens' owners were unwilling or unable to do this).  The clinic reconstructed Lucy's jaw and the neighbor brought her to us for adoption so she can live a proper, safe life, indoors, where she will be protected in a loving home.

We cannot emphasize enough how strongly we feel about cats living strictly indoors.  Tragedies, like the one that took the lives of all of Lucy's sisters and brothers, are commonplace for cats outdoors.  Besides dogs, they have to contend with disease, coyotes, birds of prey, vehicles, pranksters, other cats, scorpions, and so much more.

Please visit Nevada SPCA's Cat Condos and ask for Lucy by name.  We hope you cherish her every single day and that she leads a long life, full of joy and peace-of-mind.
