Update: Sedona was adopted on July 24th! Sedona is an intelligent, shy, and tender-hearted puppy. He is an Australian Cattle Dog, neutered male, approximately 7 months of age. Please be sure to puppy-proof your home & yard for his safety. Sedona had a broken leg when we rescued him. We had his leg repaired and he made a good recovery thanks to loving care in a foster home. Like many puppies, he "piddles" (releases small amounts of urine) when excited or anxious. This normally diminishes as puppies age and gain better control over their bladders (and, perhaps, emotions). This is involuntary so it is very important to never punish him for it. Herding dog knowledge and/or experience is preferred. Please visit and ask to meet Sedona today at Nevada SPCA.

I would like to snuggle with you.

Update: Jett was adopted on July 22nd! Jett is a young loverboy bunny. He loves to be held and he adores people. He is a black Rex rabbit with silver marten coloring, neutered male, less than one year of age. We rescued Jett from another shelter where he ran out of time. He is one of more than 30 bunnies who we have rescued just since Easter! Despite all the progress we and others have made in trying to educate people about the needs of rabbits, we continue to see mass dumping of "Easter bunnies" each summer. You can meet and adopt Jett today in the Rabbit & Guinea Pig Rescue Room at Nevada SPCA.

Hold me and help me feel safe and loved.

Update: Cha Cha was adopted on June 13th! Cha Cha is a petite snugglebug. She yearns to get assurance that you are happy with her. She is most likely a Mexican Hairless and Chihuahua mix. Her only tufts of hair are golden strands on her forehead and ears. She is a spayed female, approximately five years young. Cha Cha's hairless body needs extra skin care, including protection from the desert sun. Our staff can give you tips, but please also be sure to consult your veterinarian for guidance. We rescued Cha Cha from another shelter. She is good with other sweet dogs. We believe she will do best in a gentler, calmer home. This adorable little lady is waiting for you today at Nevada SPCA.

I have a world full of devotion for you.

Update: Patsy was adopted on June 15th! Patsy is a very lovable, affectionate girl. She's sometimes a goofball, and always a sweetheart. Her list of wonderful qualities reads a mile long, beginning with being great with children, friendly with other dogs, and being housetrained. This was not enough though to get her owner, who moved away, to responsibly find a home situation where she was welcome too. Patsy is a unique Heinz 57, most likely with Boxer, but possibly with Bully & Retriever. She is just under three years of age. Come cuddle with her and get kisses. She will shower you with devotion and unconditional love if you adopt her and make a lifetime commitment to her.

Give me a chance to dazzle you.

Prescott is an outgoing and very friendly young boy with stunning eyes and good looks. We believe he will do well with a single person, or a couple, or a family situation. But he wants a home where he will never have to see a dog again. A local veterinary hospital rescued him after he was wounded severely on his front left leg from a dog attack. They nursed him back to good health and asked us to help find him a loving, indoor-only home. Prescott is a neutered male, approximately two years young. You can meet and adopt him today in Doc's Cathouse, which is one of the free-roaming playrooms in Nevada SPCA's Cat Condos.

I want to be the light of your life.

Update: Tao was adopted on June 4th! Tao is an expressive little guy with a heart-melting smile. He radiates joy! He is most likely a Pomeranian mix. He is a neutered male, approximately 5 years of age. He loves other dogs and he wants to be in the middle of activities. We rescued Tao from another shelter. He had apparently been abandoned on the streets. Tao is ready for you today at Nevada SPCA. Please consider adopting rescued animals so more can be saved.

I need you to believe in me.

Update: Sammy went into a long-term foster home. Sammy has tremendous loving potential. Like all of us, he is a work in progress. But he is having difficulty overcoming early abuse and trusting new people, who make him very anxious. Once he is familiar with you, he is full of kisses and affection. Sammy is a very cute mix of Shar-Pei and Retriever. He is a neutered male, just two years young. He is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained. He has also completed some dog training and he is motivated well with food and treats. One of Sammy's adoption benefits is free basic dog obedience training (Dog-E-Mom Dog Training). Please consider this golden boy. Help him gain self-esteem and become the wonderful boy we know he can be.
