Lana

Lana is unaware of the enormous love and joy about to finally come her way.    Please share her post to help find a hero who will profoundly change the way Lana perceives people and her own self-worth. Lana is one of the six dogs rescued last month from unconscionable neglect at the hands of a suspected backyard or junkyard breeder. You may recall the other five, all of who have since been adopted into loving homes. But Lana was in the worst condition and needed more care before this big day -- her adoption debut -- could arrive. Both of Lana's back legs had been broken and healed improperly, splayed to almost 90 degrees outward. She learned to use them for walking, but they are forever locked in a flexed position, so her front legs do most of the work and her back legs waddle in a penguin-like manner. Lana is an angelic, gentle Toy Poodle mix, 4 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

What does it feel like to be loved?

Kona is a gentle Shih-Tzu and he's adjusting to being blind. He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA and we ask for your help in finding him a hero. Kona's past is mostly unknown.  He was surrendered to a veterinary hospital in extremely poor condition from unconscionable neglect. Besides matting and other problems, both of his eyes ruptured and could not be saved. Kona is about 6 years of age and neutered.  Other dogs help him feel at ease and move around, so we strongly prefer adopting him to a home where he will have a sister or brother canine for support and guidance.
