Blueberry is recovering from emotional trauma and accepting the kindness of his caretakers. He wants to believe in people again. A woman witnessed Blueberry being thrown out of a car. Fortunately, he survived without severe physical injuries, but nonetheless intensely felt the pain of rejection and cruelty.    Blueberry is a small Terrier mix, 1 year young, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Please share his pictures and help him find a home where he will always know he is dearly treasured and always safe.

Martin , a young boy daring to hope for kindness and peace-of-mind, pleads for consideration. He fears that strangers will hate him and hurt him. He shows many signs of having been severely abused in a previous home.   Martin is a small Terrier mix with warm and expressive eyes, 2 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . He loves other dogs. He would be thrilled to be another dog's little brother. We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity. Bazooka often puts his arm on Barney's shoulder and they fall asleep cuddled up in a ball together.  We rescued these young boys from another shelter to reunite them and keep them together forever.  Both are 2 years of age, friendly, and neutered. Looking upward is a big step for Stanley . He is so bashful and afraid of people that he holds his head low and stares at the ground hoping that nobody notices him. Stanley was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his trembling and hiding in the corner. We placed him in a kennel with a confident dog for friendship and guidance, resulting in some immediate improvement. Stanley is a small Terrier mix with a gentle soul. He is 4 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Matthew , an adorable and gentle junior puppy, asks for someone to love. He is a Terrier mix, 9 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Matthew is housetrained and good with dogs and kids.    He doesn't like loud noises and may thrive best in a calm home environment.    Matthew needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.    Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.

Calum is a loyal young boy who worries that the people he cares for will try to hurt each other.    Suspected of witnessing domestic violence, he panics when he sees kids or adults wrestling, play-fighting, or yelling at each other, and reportedly "snaps" at them to try and stop what he perceives as violence. Calum is a small Terrier mix, 1 year of age, housetrained, neutered, great with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.     Please help find him a loving owner who will show him that home is always a safe place.

Klondike , a tender-hearted young sweetheart, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He wants to know what a loving home feels like.  Klondike is a Terrier mix, 1 year of age, good with dogs and older kids, and now neutered.  He was rescued from a loveless home (banished outdoors only, no attention, no toys).  Please visit and ask for Klondike by name.

Herbert is ready to bring you millions of smiles.  His sunny disposition and unique appearance add to his incredible charm.  A massive trauma (perhaps being run over by a vehicle) to the right side of his head long ago has altered the position of his mouth, nose, and ears, but all of his functioning has adjusted.  Herbert loves people and other dogs and wants to share his good cheer with everyone he meets!  He is a small Terrier mix, about 6 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue he was found in a desert-border community known for a large coyote population.

Alexander The Great triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  In June, he had been hit by a vehicle and taken to an emergency veterinary hospital, which called and asked if Nevada SPCA could take him and help him recover from a broken pelvis.  We placed Alexander The Great in a gentle foster home for extended rest and he recovered beautifully! He is a small and affectionate Terrier mix, 2 years of age, now neutered, and compatible with cats and small dogs.  Alexander The Great enjoys playing ball and sleeping on the bed at your side.

Please help find a hero for Elvis , a remarkably sweet and happy young boy who needs a low-stress lifestyle and home environment.  He is a small Terrier mix, 3 years of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Elvis is mentally challenged and panics if you try to pick him up or touch his back when he is feeling anxious.  Veterinarians are not sure whether he has a development disability or if he sustained mild brain damage from head trauma earlier in his life.  Elvis gets along very well with other dogs in small groups and, for the most part, will be able to lead an ordinary and meaningful and fulfilling life.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing his cheerful spirit in this brand new portrait.

Jack is a little, golden miracle and he triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He was found by kind Fire Department personnel after he had been hit by a car and they rushed him to us for emergency care.  Veterinarians were able to save Jack's life, but not his right front leg.  Jack has adjusted well to life on three legs.  The hospital staff adore him and say he is remarkably well-behaved and intelligent.  Based on his behaviors during recovery, we know he is good with dogs and most likely both housetrained and crate-trained.  Jack is 2 years young, a small and cute Terrier mix, and now neutered.  Please share his picture and help him find a wonderful, loving forever home where he will never be in danger again.

Willy was at another shelter after being found on the streets, extremely nervous and with his left eye missing.  Willy is now at Nevada SPCA, but he doesn't yet realize he is safe and he's wary of people and afraid of being hit or screamed at.  He yearns for stability and peace-of-mind, so a gentle household is a must for his emotional recovery.  Willy is a small Terrier mix with stunning red & white coloring.  He is about 3 years young, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Willy gets along well with other dogs, so finding a home where he can be the "little brother" may be ideal.  Please help Willy find a hero so he can reach his full loving potential.

Poochie feels secure in your arms, grateful for the comfort, and he's likely to sneak you with a doggie kiss every now and then.  He is a cuddly young Terrier mix, 1 year of age, neutered boy, now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Poochie is good with other dogs and he is drawn to gentle people.  Another shelter asked for our help because he was very shy, but Poochie is now building and confidence and self-esteem, thanks to volunteers working with him, and he's making good progress daily. 

It has been wonderful to watch the hope and sparkle return to this older boy's eyes. At the time of rescue Rusty had just survived some sort of trauma and his spirit was muted in despair. Rusty is a sweet senior, good with dogs, and reportedly housetrained. He needs an adult-only home because he can reportedly get moody and become intolerant of strangers. Saki is a perfectly snuggly baby boy with a bubbly personality.  He is a super cute, chocolate Poodle & Terrier mix, neutered, 3 months young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Saki has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home after being rescued many weeks ago when he was a motherless newborn.  He adores people and delights in covering your chin with kisses galore!

Bear Bernadette Betty Lou These three playful, adorable, cuddly puppies -- nicknamed " The Beloved Baby Puppies " -- are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Bear is a boy and his sisters are Bernadette and Betty Lou . They needed us when their previous owner said his Poodle had an "oops" pregnancy with a neighbor's Terrier. We were very happy to rescue the three in exchange for him getting his Poodle neutered. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

Bailee is a vibrant young girl who relishes playing hide-and-seek with you. She is chatty -- not barking, but talking pleasingly to you throughout the day. Bailee is a lovely Dachshund & Terrier mix, spayed, just a year of age, good with kids and dogs, plus housetrained and crate-trained too. Please meet and adopt her today at Nevada SPCA.

Rich in personality and enthusiasm, Mary Jane is a resplendent rose.  Her whole body wiggles in excitement when she greets you.  Mary Jane is good with cats & dogs & kids, plus housetrained & crate-trained too.  She is a Terrier mix, spayed girl, about 5 years of age, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA. Cheerio is a super cute, cheery little trooper now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  His warm personality is reflected in his big brown eyes and we love his unique ears.  Cheerio is a Terrier & Toy mix, neutered boy, 3 years of age, and he enjoys other friendly dogs. We rescued this sweetheart from another shelter that ran out of space for him.
