Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Kamara likes to chat softly with you throughout the day.  For such a gentle and docile girl, she has so much to say and she enjoys sharing her thoughts with you.  Kamara is a very kind black & white shorthair, 10 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She gets along well with other cats and she is well-behaved.  Kamara's previous owners moved away and decided not to take her (for reasons of their own which we cannot understand or relate to).  Please help this graceful older girl get the loving home she deserves and needs.

Alesha's previous owner brought her four newborn babies to us in a bucket.  They had Alesha on a leash, rather than inside a proper carrier, and accidentally dropped the leash as they were trying to walk her into the lobby.  She ran behind bushes, entangling the leash, and our staff was able to capture her. Once old enough to be spayed/neutered, her kittens were adopted.  Alesha is now spayed too and seeking a loving home of her own. Alesha is only two years of age, almost a baby still herself.  She is loyal and loves people and shows tremendous affection.  But her love for people does not extend to other cats and dogs, who she refuses to tolerate, so she needs to be the only pet in the home. Leeda is 5 years of age, but often as playful as a kitten. She is an enchanting, gorgeous girl who cherishes attention. Leeda is a snow-white shorthair with lovely light green eyes. She is spayed and ready for adoption today. One of her favorite activities is chasing balls and other toys you throw for her. We rescued her from another shelter. Quark is a very special boy and will fit beautifully into just the right home. He is very nurturing and cat-oriented, and enjoys bathing and grooming other cats to share his affection. He is sweet to people, but more independent and may keep to himself if there are not other cats for him to engage. Quark is an attractive parti-colored shorthair, neutered, just a year of age. At the time of rescue he had broken back toes due to being out on the streets, but he is healed now and ready for adoption. Update: Brandon was adopted on June 26th! Still a kitten at 8 months, this baby boy has already lost two homes, yet he has done nothing wrong. Brandon is an affectionate boy who needs and desires your attention and approval. Brandon is a steel-grey shorthair, neutered, with lovely yellow-green eyes. He needed us when his previous owner decided he was "not fitting in" the household. But Brandon just wants someone to adore him, stay committed to him, and keep him safely indoors always. Update: Crystal was adopted on June 5th! Crystal has a lovely soul to match her beautiful face and temperament. She would love to be adopted into a gentle, attentive home and spoiled rotten. Crystal needed us when her previous owner became too ill to care for her. She is a snow white shorthair, spayed female, 7 years of age. Crystal's front feet were previously declawed, so it is especially critical that she is an indoor-only cat. (We only adopt cats to indoor-only homes.) She may be best as the only pet in the home because that is what she is used to, but she is fine with other cats who respect her space. Even more affectionate than inquisitive, this handsome and curious boy cherishes winning your attention and adoration. Cole is an orange & white shorthair, neutered male, approximately 4 years of age. His appearance is very striking due to his glowing orange eyes, lean body, and raccoon-pattern tail. Lila is a petite youngster who craves gentle affection. She loves to sit in your lap and enjoy your tender touch and reassurances. Lila is a mostly snow-white shorthair, spayed, and one year of age. Lila and her four kittens needed rescue and fostering when their owner lost the family home to foreclosure. Her kittens have already been spayed/neutered and adopted, so now it is her turn to find a forever home. Lila is currently living with her foster mom and she comes to the Nevada SPCA lobby every Saturday at 11am to be considered by visitors for adoption. Like all of Nevada SPCA's rescued cats, she needs and requires and deserves a strictly indoor-only home where she will be safe and cherished as a member of the family.
