Amethyst and Peridot

Image
Amethyst Peridot Peridot and Amethyst , baby sisters, are among the dozens of rescued kittens and 100+ rescued cats awaiting loving, forever homes today at Nevada SPCA .  The girls are 3 months of age, spayed, and socialized with cats and dogs.  Since their rescue, found as newborns in a family's backyard without a mom, they have been nurtured and bottle-fed in a wonderful foster home.  Peridot is inquisitive and loves finding mischief. Amethyst is affectionate and most focused on peace and comfort.

Gary and Tom

Image
Gary and Tom , adorable and playful baby boys, are irresistibly loving.    The brothers are now 3 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. You may remember their rescue in January . Their mother, Barbie, a Boston Terrier and Chihuahua mix (pictured here too), and her four newborns needed urgent foster care. (Their father is unknown.) Barbie and her other two babies are still in foster care and will be ready for adoption soon. Gary and Tom enjoy other dogs. They have been socialized beautifully in their foster home and adore kind people.    We expect both to remain small in size, or grow to medium-size at most.    Please visit and ask for them by name.

Annabelle

Annabelle nursing Rainy and Sherman Annabelle , blessed with an incredibly sweet disposition and nurturing spirit, mothered numerous kittens for survival and to good health.     She is 2 years young, fine with cats and dogs, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. After she raised her own kittens in a loving foster home, Annabelle nurtured and raised two more rescued newborns who desperately needed a mother. (The second picture shows Annabelle with these babies, named Rainy and Sherman .)    Annabelle's foster mom says she is remarkably affectionate and eager for attention.    Please help find her a wonderful, forever home.

Enormous need for foster heroes for fragile lives!

Image
Randy and 41 more fragile, rescued animals await nurturing foster homes! Please share this post to help find heroes! We deeply appreciate everyone's help during this most difficult year yet for motherless newborns and pregnant animals found in peril throughout the metro area. If you can foster, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Katelyn. Randy is a Chihuahua puppy, about 8 weeks of age, found alone with his mother nowhere in sight. 30 more puppies, including newborns, and 11 motherless kittens, need the tender care and comfort of a home environment for their physical and emotional well-being until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered.

Nicholas

Nicholas is a remarkably cute and engaging baby boy triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. You may remember his siblings who were adopted in late April. They were rescued as motherless newborns and lovingly raised in nurturing foster care. Nicholas had "puppy strangles" (juvenile cellulitis) and needed veterinary care.  He is now almost 5 months of age, neutered, well, good with other dogs, and very ready to begin his new life!  Nicholas is a Labrador Retriever mix (with other Sporting breeds) and we believe he will grow to large size.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.

Cora's Babies

Image
Rose, gentle and bashful. Romeo may cry when he wants you to pick him up. Valentino, very lovable and affectionate. Rose and her baby brothers, Romeo and Valentino , are precious Chihuahua puppies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  You may remember their mother, Cora (pictured below), who was adopted last month.  At the time of rescue from a suspected backyard breeder, Cora's babies were just 10 days old.  We placed mom and puppies in a nurturing foster home and they were raised and socialized with kittens and bunnies.  Cora's puppies are now 3 months of age and spayed/neutered.  Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. All three have temperaments best suited for a gentle home environment. Cora, their mother, was adopted last month.
