Cosmo beams when you tell him it's time to go for a walk.    He is reportedly a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & Shih-Tzu mix, 6 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Cosmo is improving emotionally every day. He is recovering from cruelty and worries that strangers intend to harm him. An experienced, adult-only home is needed for his continuing progress so he can reach his full loving potential.

Raphael , a young boy terrified of human hands, wants to believe in people despite the cruelty he endured.    Hold him close and praise him and he will lick his lips or your shirt to humbly accept your kindness. Raphael was at another shelter that asked for our help. He is a cute and sensitive Miniature Pinscher mix, 3 years of age and neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.   We believe Raphael will adjust best in a home with a big sister or brother dog. Jude , a youngster recovering from cruelty, needs someone who believes in his goodness and potential. He fears people, but at the same time so desperately wants their approval and kindness. Jude is a Heinz 57 with Labrador Retriever, 1 year of age, neutered boy, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He is good with some dogs, but picky about others.    Jude reportedly feels safe around mature kids and likes playing ball with them.    We love his dimpled smile and golden eyes.    Please share Jude's picture to help find him a lifelong hero.

Felicia's bubbly charm is going to bring you so many years of smiles! She adores people and wants to please. She is a Bully mix with wonderful dimples, 7 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We don't know what Felicia endured before we saved her from another shelter. She sometimes screams when she mistakenly believes a person is going to hit her or step on her. We want Felicia to realize she is never going to be struck again.

Paris shines when he feels safe.    He is a very attractive American Eskimo Dog, 3 years young, neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Paris from another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity.    He fears that strangers are going to try and hurt him. Trust takes time, especially with men.    Paris enjoys walking close beside the people he bonds with.

Tammy likes empty hands petting her. But approach her with an object in your hands and she panics that you intend to hit her. Tammy dares to hope though for peace and kindness.    She is trusting us to care for her, as long as our hands are empty in her presence. Tammy also likes other dogs and feels safe in their presence.    She is a beautiful Labrador Retriever, 6 years of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued Tammy from another shelter and the identity of her previous owner is unknown.

Cody worries he is displeasing and unwanted. But when you reassure him that he is wonderful and a good boy, he breaks out a warm smile and his eyes sparkle. Cody is a young Yellow Labrador Retriever debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is housetrained and good with other dogs.    Cody was at another shelter that asked for our help because of the abuse he experienced in a previous home.    We believe gentle voices and a very steady lifestyle routine will help him continue improving and reaching his full potential.

Chopin , a pensive and sensitive youngster, longs for peace-of-mind and awaits adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued him from another shelter and his background is otherwise unknown, except that he has endured trauma that has resulted in him fearing strangers and quick hand movements.  Chopin is an especially attractive Chihuahua, 1 year of age and neutered, good with other dogs.  He can reach his full loving potential in a gentle home with a stable lifestyle routine.

Abigail is ready to bloom and shine in a peaceful, stable home where she realizes she will have nothing to fear.   She is a pretty Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, 3 years young and spayed, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Abigail from another shelter and what she endured in a previous home is unknown. But she is terrified of strangers and won't tolerate them lunging at her.  Our experience is that Abigail quickly accepts kind people and does very well as long as she is not forced to move against her own will.  Please help find a hero for Abigail (in a very experienced, adult-only home where she can reach her full potential).

Dania is broken-hearted by the betrayal of her trust -- she is extremely head-shy and shows other signs of being abused -- but she wants and needs to believe in people.  She is a Great Dane, 120 pounds, spayed, 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Dania from another shelter that asked for our help.  Upon meeting new people Dania holds her tail between her legs and quivers in fear.  But after several minutes of knowing someone is kind, her body relaxes, and her posture and energy change.  Please help us find Dania a hero to continue her emotional healing and to protect her from ever knowing violence again. 

Jewel wants to believe in people again and she has enormous loving potential.  She is desperate to connect with people, but her soul has been wounded by cruelty, so she hesitates.  Trust does not come easily for Jewel, but gets earned with time and patience, based on respect and kindness.  Jewel is an adorable Toy & Terrier mix, 2 years young, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is good with other dogs and will likely do best in a home with a big brother or big sister dog to help her adjust.  Jewel was found abandoned on the streets, terrified and abuse.  Please help us find her a hero.

Buddy Blue is shining and thriving thanks to the care and understanding of volunteers and staff. He has made so much progress and deserves new consideration from visitors, so we are thrilled that Pet'ographique showcased him so handsomely and captured his spirit in these brand new portraits. Buddy Blue is a Labrador Retriever mix, 3 years of age, neutered boy, available for adoption at Nevada SPCA. He is good with other dogs, crate-trained, and loves playing ball.  Volunteers have taught him to walk well on leash and he knows basic training commands. Buddy Blue's special needs are due to violence and abuse he was a victim of in a previous home.  If you throw a toy or item at him, especially things shaped like flashlights, he may think you are attacking him. The memories of cruelty are fading.  His terrific progress needs to continue in an experienced, stable, adult-only home.

At the time of rescue Katrina's spirit was dulled from despair.  She was in neglected condition and had apparently been discarded by being recklessly thrown over a fence into someone's backyard.  Fortunately for Katrina , the yard belonged to Nevada SPCA volunteers and the couple's dogs were gentle and sweet to her.  Katrina is now brightening with renewed vitality.  She is a Malti-Poo (Maltese & Poodle mix), spayed girl, 2 years young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Katrina craves kindness and reassurance.  Please help us find her someone who will shower her with love and remain committed to her for life.
