Belle Margaret

Image
Belle Margaret's progress is very encouraging. She no longer holds her head to the ground and her trembling stopped when we placed a canine friend in her kennel.  Belle Margaret was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her extreme fear and shaking.  We don't know what she endured, but suspect a cruel or loveless home.  Belle Margaret is a radiant, medium-size Shepherd mix, 3 years young and spayed, and debuting for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

I'm spreading my wings like a new butterfly.

Bethany is building confidence and self-esteem very nicely, thanks to dedicated volunteers.  We are celebrating her progress with this brand new portrait courtesy of the very caring people at Pet'ographique .  You may remember from a post earlier this year that Bethany was rescued from a backyard breeder and she had been denied love during her use as a money-making machine.  Bethany is a petite Chihuahua, spayed girl, 6 years of age, great with other dogs, and available for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Bethany is understanding that she is indeed worthy of love, resulting in a beautiful transformation.

We are proud, content, triumphant survivors.

Penny and Cash are gorgeous, playful sisters triumphantly ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  They love to sleep on the bed with you and play hide-and-seek with big cardboard boxes.  They are sleek black shorthairs, 2 years young, spayed, and very affectionate.  We had them treated for very severe eye infections and placed them with a wonderful foster mom who heroically helped both to good health.  Penny is mostly blind in her left eye and Cash 's right eye could not be saved.  Both are adjusting well, living in the moment, and happy to be alive and feeling better.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this perfect portrait celebrating their recoveries and progress.

Blue finally awakens to human kindness.

It's never too late to decide to love people.  For Blue , this remarkable breakthrough comes at 12 years of age, following a life previously full of despair and neglect.  She now loves going for walks and she is beginning to trust people.  Volunteers and staff have been working with her for many months because at the time of rescue she was very grumpy and intolerant of people.  Blue is a Chow Chow, spayed, and she is great with most dogs.  Please help us find a hero to adopt or foster her so she continues blooming.
