Update: Meringue was adopted on February 22nd! A fluffy young girl with a tart personality, Meringue is adorable and endearing. She is a lemon & white guinea pig, American breed, about a year of age. Meringue needs an experienced owner because she needs more socialization, requiring patience and a gentle touch. She was apparently sold at a pet store for a quick buck and then handed away from home to home because she is nervous about being held. Meringue may be fine with some other female guinea pigs, but she is picky who she likes. (Our staff can assist with meet-and-greets at the headquarters to ensure compatible matches.) Please visit and ask to meet Meringue today.

It is healthy and natural for me to be very playful.

Update: Ike was adopted on February 4th! Shortly after being purchased at a pet store, Ike was surrendered to us for being "too much to handle". This is a common problem we see with pet store purchases. Some tend to think that by spending tons of money on baby animals (in stores or from breeders) that they are going to somehow arrive fully trained. Ike is a super lovable, cute puppy, and there is nothing unusual about his high energy level and his needs to chew, explore, and play. He is a Bichon Frise, now neutered, about 5 months of age. Please plan on periodic professional grooming care for Ike (and budget accordingly). He enjoys other sweet dogs and he debuts for adoption today.

I am a puppy, so I am supposed to be playful and rambunctious.

Update: Sam was adopted on July 30th! Sam's story is a very common one. He was purchased at a pet store for a large sum, but then his owners quickly realized it takes a lot of work to help keep puppies safe, and to help them develop properly into well-adjusted, well-balanced adults. In short order, he was given to us for a more suitable, experienced home. Sam is an adorable Beagle puppy with a curious nature. He is approximately 3 months of age. We had him neutered and he is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. The ideal home for Sam will be one experienced with his breed, very committed to him for the next 15 years or more (for life), willing to seek basic training, and patient enough to puppy-proof the home and yard to keep him protected.
