Clarissa loves playing with children, walking in the park, and chasing squeaky toys.    Please share her picture and help find her a hero. Clarissa is a beautiful soul, a Malamute & Siberian Husky mix, 6 years of age, housetrained, good with medium and large-size dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is blind in her left eye (old injury or birth defect) and partially blind in her right eye. Clarissa will quickly learn your home and yard, but please take thorough safety precautions for her around pools, stairs, and other potential hazards.

Dmitri is a young Siberian Husky with enormous good in his heart and his jolly personality often shines through beautifully.  He is 1 year of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Dmitri likes other dogs, provided he is fed meals and treats separately.  He is challenged by special needs that include partial blindness and possible epilepsy.  Veterinarians believe he has some vision impairment in both eyes.  His previous owner said he had seizures.  We have Dmitri on daily medication (phenobarbital, which is generally inexpensive and highly effective preventing seizures) and we have not noticed any seizure activity during his time here at the shelter. Finally, Dmitri treats people he knows and trusts like precious gold and gives full adoration.  Some men though distress him and he worries they will hurt him or those he loves.  Strangers must never lunge at him.  A very experienced, adult-only home can help Dmitri ...

Uno hopes you will let him melt your heart, as his physical disabilities in no way reduce his capacity to love.  He is a young Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), 1 year of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Uno from another shelter.  He had sustained massive trauma (from an unknown source) resulting in partial blindness in his right eye and neurological damage.  Uno walks in a shuffling, crawling manner.  When you tell him it's time for treats he throws his front arms up over his head in an enthusiastic Hallelujah! and his whole body wiggles with joy. Uno enjoys sitting upright like a meerkat.  When you tell him it's time for treats he throws his front arms above his head in an enthusiastic hallelujah! and his whole body wiggles with joy.  Uno is a young Chihuahua, 1 year of age and neutered, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Uno was at another shelter that asked for our help.  He had sustained massive trauma (from unknown source), resulting in partial blindness and neurological damage.  Uno cannot walk in a straight line, but instead shuffles and walks in a crawling manner to get where he wants to go.  He is not suffering and he has many years of unconditional love to share with the person who becomes his lifelong hero.
