Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Hinata is good with kids and likes covering people he adores with doggie kisses.  He is a Shiba Inu mix (size, body type, curly-Q tail of a Shiba Inu),1 year young, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Hinata was not socialized with other dogs and gets agitated around them. For now, he needs a one-dog household, but with good future socialization we believe he could become accustomed to other friendly dogs.  We rescued Hinata from another shelter and his background is otherwise unknown.

Antony, father Canton, son Chloe, daughter Antony , a youngster himself (1 year of age), and his two children, son Canton and daughter Chloe, debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. All three are gentle, sweet, and reserved, and need more socialization in very loving homes.    At the time of rescue they were unwanted and handed away in a parking lot.    Antony is a uniquely attractive, 16-pound fellow, a blend of many small breeds. Canton and Chloe are 3 months of age.  All are now spayed/neutered and ready to join wonderful, forever homes.

Amadeus Beethoven Maggie Sandra Amadeus , Beethoven , Maggie , and Sandra are incredibly adorable babies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA  They are Retriever & Shepherd mixes, likely to grow to medium or large size, about 3 months of age, and now spayed/neutered.  Amadeus and Beethoven are boys and Maggie and Sandra are girls.  They were rescued from a home where they were 'unwanted'.  All four are a bit shy and need more socialization.  (They have two more siblings who will be ready for adoption too in the days to come.)

Macgregor is a radiant young Scottish Terrier debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is 3 years of age, neutered, bouncy and full of joy.  Macgregor was at another shelter that asked for our help.  Besides being neglected, he is picky about which other dogs he likes due to lack of socialization with them.  Scottish Terrier knowledge is needed for his adoption.  Special thanks to his cleaning & grooming courtesy of the kind people at Hair of the Dog Spa .

Conrad, 3-year-old boy. Melody, 2-year-old girl. Swishie, 1-year-old boy. Tulip, 2-year-old girl. Conrad , Melody , Swishie , and Tulip are shy youngsters, ready to bloom in responsible, forever homes.  They were among the 41 dogs who survived a house fire earlier this autumn in North Las Vegas (45 dogs perished).  These four were at another shelter that asked for our help due to their timidity.  We find all four to be gentle and sensitive, already improving with care and socialization from staff and volunteers.  They need experienced homes with kind guidance and stable lifestyle routines.  They are 1-3 years of age and spayed/neutered.  Conrad and Swishie are boys.  Melody and Tulip are girls.  We believe they will do best in homes with big sister or brother dogs to help them adjust and reach their full loving potential.

Brett Michael Brett and Michael are sensitive baby boys debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They are tiny and easily frightened, due to needing much more socialization, so they will scream or cry if you move too quickly with them. Both boys are gentle and crave reassurances.  We expect them to adjust well with patience, and ideally, with a big brother or sister dog. Brett and Michael are Chihuahua mix puppies, 4 months of age, and now neutered.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard carefully for their safety. Their previous owner reportedly moved into a living situation where dogs are not allowed.

Nash Nico Nolan Nash , Nico , and Nolan are three bashful baby brothers, junior puppies, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  The boys were at another shelter that needed our help due to their timidity.  All three are responding wonderfully to kindness and have already begun blooming.  The boys are Terrier & Toy mixes, 9 months of age, and neutered. In experienced homes, they can continue building confidence and reaching their full loving potential.

Castiel Hael Raphael Castiel , Hael , and Raphael are angelic, rescued kittens who need a loving foster home for approximately 2-3 weeks.  If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA before 4pm and ask for Katelyn. These babies were found outdoors without their mother.  They are shy and sweet, and lots of socialization with you will help them develop emotionally.  They are about 10 weeks of age.  Hael is a girl and Castiel and Raphael are her brothers.

Christopher Janet Christopher and Janet are wonderfully endearing puppies, brother and sister, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Both have gentle temperaments and they are beginning to bloom with self-esteem and confidence.  They are very attractive Australian Cattle Dog mixes, expected to grow to medium size, 8 months of age, and now spayed/neutered.  The man who surrendered them said they had come from a small nearby desert town and their past is otherwise unknown. 

Elvin, puppy, 5 months. Jacques, junior puppy, 7 months. Elvin and Jacques are very bashful puppies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Reportedly taken from a "hoarder's house", they have never walked on a leash or had even basic socialization until now.  They are 2 of the 5 taken from that home to another shelter which asked for our help.  ( You may recall Comet, Meteor, and Moonbeam, the other 3, who were featured a few days ago .)  Elvin and Jacques are both small Heinz 57s with Toy & Terrier, 5-7 months of age, neutered boys.  Ideally, we'd like to find each of them an experienced home with a big sister or big brother dog who will help them adjust and reach their full loving potential. Comet, junior puppy, neutered boy, 7 months. Meteor, junior puppy, neutered boy, 8 months. Moonbeam, young girl, spayed, 18 months. Comet , Meteor , and Moonbeam are three of the five young sweethearts we rescued from another shelter and who reportedly came from a "hoarder's home".  All are small Toy & Terrier mixes, very gentle, but quite timid due to a lack of proper socialization.  These three are now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA and we expect the other two to be ready soon as they make emotional improvements.  Based on past experience, the ideal for each is to be adopted into a home with a big sister or brother dog who will help guide them and lead them to being well-balanced, well-adjusted adults.  Please help us find each of them heroes.

Landon, baby boy. Natalie, baby girl. Landon and Natalie are tiny babies who need heroes to help them become well-adjusted, well-balanced adults.  They were among three undomesticated Chihuahua puppies rescued in January (in either an extremely neglectful home or to a mother who had no home).  We placed the trio in a loving foster home where they have been socialized with other small dogs.  The foster parents adopted one of the boys, but Landon and Natalie need forever homes, ideally with big brother or sister dogs to help them continue to adjust.  Landon and Natalie are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

Duchess was reportedly dumped in a campground.  For more than a year she refused to let people get close, but hovered in the distance hoping for some morsels of food.  Finally, Duchess befriended a very gentle elderly man and let herself be captured.  This man had her a short time before bringing her to us, teaching her housetraining and beginning her other adjustments to indoor living.  Duchess needs to continue blooming.  She is still very independent, strong-willed, and intolerant of people making her do anything she doesn't want to do.  Duchess is a beautiful Akita & Shepherd mix, 2-3 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She cannot be around small animals.  Please help us find Duchess her lifelong hero.

Willey, baby boy Wilson, baby boy Willey and Wilson are baby brothers who look like tiny deer. The boys are very bashful and still need to gain self-esteem and confidence.  An experienced and patient home is needed for their continuing blooming. At the time of rescue this past summer they were newborns at another shelter that asked for our help.  We rescued their mother too, a Yorkshire Terrier mix named Megan (pictured below), and their two other siblings.  We placed them in a loving foster home so that Megan could raise her babies in peace and comfort. Megan has since been spayed and adopted earlier this autumn.  Also, their two siblings will be ready for adoption in the days to come. Willey and Wilson are now 5 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  We can only speculate about their father, but believe he is likely to be a Chihuahua.  Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.
