Ash

Image
15 rescued newborn kittens cherished Ash as their surrogate mom and her tender nurturing enabled all to survive and thrive. Ash was pregnant and homeless at the time of her rescue. Her own babies were stillborn, but she heard the voices and cries of a rescued litter of newborns and called for them, immediately taking all into her care.    When the first litter was weaned, Ash took a second litter of rescued newborns and saved them too. Ash is 3 years young and now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    She loves being the center of attention and shows tremendous affection to people in return for their kindness.

Let me gently nibble on your ears.

Idyllwild was just 3 weeks of age at the time of rescue, unconscionably stuffed in a box with 13 other kittens and dumped in our lobby.  (All 14 kittens were in severe distress and overheated, but we were able to save all of them.)  Idyllwild's foster mom taught her to eat from a spoon and then she quickly learned on her own.  She loves catnip toys and likes to carry them around in her mouth from room to room.  Idyllwild also loves to nibble on your ears.  She is a bright-eyed grey kitten, now 3 months of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for her safety.

Prescott, a rescued kitten who had been thrown from a car on a Vegas freeway.

Image
Prescott was witnessed being thrown out of a moving car on the I-95 freeway in Las Vegas last weekend.  Miraculously he had no broken bones (or jaw injuries, which are common when thrown from moving vehicles) and a Nevada SPCA foster mom happened to be there to capture and save him.  Prescott is now neutered, full of life and vigor and personality, approximately 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Prescott is one of 20 rescued kittens currently available for adoption.

Aladdin, an adorable Siamese kitten for adoption. What are his three wishes?

Image
Aladdin's three wishes: 1) A loving, forever home.  2) Indoors-only for safety.  3) Cherished as a valued member of the family.  Aladdin is a remarkably cute baby boy, a Siamese kitten, now 3 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for his protection. Aladdin has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home since his rescue.  He is very playful, personable, and compatible with other cats.

I snuggle other cats and envelope them in kindness.

Tortease is very nurturing and she likes to mother and comfort other cats of all ages.  She is a stunningly beautiful tortoiseshell medium-hair feline, about 5 years of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue she and her three babies were on the streets.  We placed Tortease and her kittens in a loving foster home for care and socialization.  Her babies have since been spayed/neutered and adopted, so it's now it's mom's turn to find a loving, forever home.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this elegant portrait of Tortease .

Pray for the safety of our mommy too, please.

Ivan and Boyde Ivan and Boyde are darling brothers triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. These boys and their sister were found at the scene of a terrible car crash in Henderson.  Their microchips traced back to Nevada SPCA.  We traced the chips and determined that they were in foster care with a foster mom.  The foster mom was hospitalized with multiple broken bones (and she is continuing to recover).  Ivan and Boyde were in shock from the trauma and their sister, named Winnie , had a severely broken leg.  (She is being treated and will be available for adoption once she is healed and spayed). But there were two cats, the kittens' mom and sister, missing from the wreckage and everyone feared the worst.  Hours after the accident the tow truck driver found the fourth kitten alive in the tangled metal.  Her name is Katty and she is with us and being treated for a broken hip.  Unfortunately, the kittens' mom has stil...

We give tiny nose kisses.

Pinky and her brother Fireworks, now ready for adoption A basketful of babies rescued before New Year's Eve -- Rebel, Penny, Pinky, and Fireworks Do you remember the basketful of very young rescued Chihuahua puppies we posted here shortly before New Year's Eve? A wonderful foster mom, named Courtney, stepped forward to foster them and give them nurturing care.  The two brown ones, Rebel and Penny , have since been spayed and adopted into loving homes. The lighter-colored ones, Pinky and Fireworks , needed more foster care because of their small sizes.  But these two are now 4 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Pinky is a girl and Fireworks is a boy.  Both love to be held and snuggled under your chin and give tiny nose kisses. We strongly prefer adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship.

You believed in me and now I am blooming.

Jasmine is a gorgeous young girl who is fascinated by women's long hair and likes to play with it gently.  She is a calico shorthair, 2 years of age, spayed, good with other cats, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Jasmine was believed to be semi-feral (undomesticated) after being abandoned outdoors. But a foster mom worked with her extensively and Jasmine enjoys human companionship, trusts people, and relishes being brushed.  She is a bit shy, but her progress has been enormous.  A gentle, calm home would be ideal for Jasmine .
