Herbie, August 8 Herbie, July 3 Herbie, August 8 Do you remember Herbie , the lynx point Siamese kitten rescued in early July and put into a loving foster home?  Herbie is now 4 months of age, neutered, wonderfully socialized, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Herbie is great with other cats, enjoys chatting with people, and finds cardboard boxes to be a source of endless amusement.  Please kitten-proof your home for his safety.

Juan's world is so fun that every object he finds on the floor is perceived as a kitten toy.  He is an adorable baby boy, 4 months of age, neutered, great with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Since his rescue from another shelter he has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home.

Barbara Billy Bobby Barbara , Billy , and Bobby -- super sweet, rescued Ragdoll kittens -- are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Earlier this summer the babies were discovered when a person heard cries of distress coming from bushes.  We placed them in a wonderful foster home for care and socialization.  Please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong love and companionship.

Stephie , a most lovable sweetheart baby girl, is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  She is a Heinz 57 (blend of many breeds) expected to grow to medium or large size, 3 months of age, good with other dogs, and now spayed.  A man found Stephie abandoned in his truck and brought her to us for safety.  We placed her in a wonderful foster home for weeks of tender care and socialization.

Bart , a baby boy with outstanding charisma, loves giving people hugs and perching on their shoulders.    He adores dogs too and crawls all over them to find great places to nap. Bart needs a hero please. He was found on the streets with FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and then raised in a wonderful foster home.    Bart is now neutered and ready for a special needs adoption at Nevada SPCA .    He requires a home without other cats.

Song loves "singing" to you and showering your cheeks with his puppy kisses.  He is an adorable Toy & Chihuahua mix, almost 4 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Song was found in an abandoned apartment.  Since his rescue he has been raised and socialized in a wonderful foster home with cats and dogs.

Alexander and Albert are acrobatic baby brothers who love playing and pouncing on each other.  The boys are tabby & white kittens, 3 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Their mother, Alexandra, was pregnant at the time of rescue and they were then raised in a wonderful foster home. (Alexandra has since been spayed and adopted.)  Alexander enjoys cuddling and Albert likes tossing his toys high into the air.

Blanche studies her toys carefully to determine how they work.  Cuddling on the couch with you though is her favorite thing.  Blanche is a Snowshoe kitten, 3 months of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Since her rescue from homelessness she has been lovingly raised and socialized in a wonderful foster home.

Mark Andrew and other rescued puppies and kittens without mothers need foster homes please. If you can help as a foster parent, please visit Nevada SPCA in person. Mark Andrew is one of several puppies of varying ages rescued from a home where his previous owner passed away. He is about 8 weeks of age and needs foster care for approximately 5-6 weeks please. Mark Andrew is very sweet and he likes being around other dogs.

Lucy loves playing "tag" and chase with you. Connect several kitten play tunnels and she can dash around for an hour in fun. Once you catch her, she purrs heartily in your arms.  Lucy is a classic medium-hair tabby kitten, 3 months of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Lucy and her mother and siblings were found abandoned in a parking lot. Since their rescue they have been socialized beautifully in a wonderful foster home with cats and dogs. ( Lucy's mother, Jenny, has already been spayed and adopted.)

Abigail, Nathaniel, Sebastian Bambi, their mother, when rescued in December Bambi's babies -- Abigail , Nathaniel , and Sebastian -- love to snuggle when done playing with their toys.    Lovingly raised in a wonderful foster home, they are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Many of you will remember Bambi . She was pregnant and nearly ready to give birth when rescued in December.    Bambi has since been spayed and adopted. Now, it's time for her babies to find forever homes too.

Amethyst Peridot Peridot and Amethyst , baby sisters, are among the dozens of rescued kittens and 100+ rescued cats awaiting loving, forever homes today at Nevada SPCA .  The girls are 3 months of age, spayed, and socialized with cats and dogs.  Since their rescue, found as newborns in a family's backyard without a mom, they have been nurtured and bottle-fed in a wonderful foster home.  Peridot is inquisitive and loves finding mischief. Amethyst is affectionate and most focused on peace and comfort.

Ruthie , a pregnant rescued junior puppy, still needs a foster hero, so we took these new pictures of her this morning to capture her sunny spirit.    She has relaxed and bloomed exceptionally well in the past 48 hours. Ruthie is a lemon Beagle mix, 10 months of age, and blessed with a jovial spirit.

Many of you may remember Alexis in January when she was pregnant at the time of rescue. Alexis mothered her babies with utmost devotion. In her foster home, when she needed to use the bathroom, she would sprint outdoors and then dash back inside as quickly as she could to be with her puppies. Alexis is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . She is a petite sweetheart, a Chihuahua, 3 years of age, and good with other dogs. (Her babies will remain in foster care for a short time longer awaiting spay/neuter surgeries.) Alexis, January 2017

Good news! As we were preparing this post we confirmed a loving foster home for five abandoned baby birds just rescued an hour ago. A veterinary hospital found a small cardboard box outside of their front door and could hear the crying pleas for help from the babies. They found four ducks and a chicken inside. Their foster mom is experienced with birds and providing nurturing care to very young animals.

Foster hero needed please for Brianna & Bambi ! Bambi , a motherless newborn, was found in a department store parking lot in distress. Jenny delights in being lovingly held and carried.  She is a gorgeous young girl, a lynx point Siamese, 1 year of age, good with other cats, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  At the time of rescue Jenny and her four newborn babies were homeless. Jenny raised her babies in a wonderful foster home. (Her kittens will be available for adoption too in the weeks to come, once they are old enough to be spayed/neutered.)  Please visit and ask for Jenny by name.

Adam , a well-behaved baby boy, loves bonding with cats and dogs, snuggles in laps, and likes meeting people of all ages.  He is a super cute Chi-Weenie puppy (Chihuahua & Dachshund), 5 months of age, crate-trained, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Adam is now well and thriving beautifully.  At the time of rescue his life was in peril from the parvo virus.  We rushed him into emergency care at an animal hospital for extensive treatment.  Thank you very much to the generous donors who made his lifesaving veterinary care possible! Adam has been in wonderful foster care since his release from the hospital.  His foster mom has socialized him and shown him that home is a safe place.

March 14 March 14 December 23 Bambi was rescued right before Christmas. Known then as "Pippi", she was pregnant and only days away from giving birth. We put out an emergency plea for a foster hero and a wonderful veterinary technician named Julie stepped forward for her. Bambi birthed and raised her three babies in Julie's nurturing home. (Her babies remain in foster care for a bit longer for their spay/neuter surgeries.) Bambi loves squeaky toys, leaping up steps, and bonding with cats, dogs, and people.    She is a tiny girl with enormous charm, a Chihuahua, 1 year of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Glitterbug bounces through the house (rather than walking) and plays games of tag & chase with dogs.  She is a spunky baby girl, a tortoiseshell kitten, 3 months of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Since her rescue from a family's backyard, she has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home.
