Christian Elijah These two baby boys were motherless newborns at the time of rescue, clearly born by a feral mother, and they were terrified of humans.  A loving foster mom showered them with love and care, resulting in remarkable progress with socialization.  While still shy, these orange tabby kittens now enjoy kind people.  Christian and Elijah are now 3 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption into forever, indoor-only homes.  Please carefully kitten-proof your home for their safety and protection.

Ivy's tipped right ear is the result of a local trap & release program for feral cats.  (Ears are tipped to indicate which of the feral cats have been spayed/neutered.) But this little beauty was still a kitten and so we agreed to take her and place her in a loving foster home to be socialized so that she could one day be adopted into a caring, forever home. Ivy's foster mom worked with her diligently for many months and succeeded in domesticating her. Ivy is a Tortoiseshell, now about 2 years of age and very sweet with soft-spoken people.  She enjoys perching as high as she can on tall cat tree furniture, independently away from the other cats. Update: Lilly was adopted on September 9th! Lilly enjoys gently nibbling on your fingers. She has a come a very long way, transforming from a feral cat surviving on her own on the streets to a sweet, domesticated feline who has learned that humans can be kind. Lilly is a gorgeous Tortie Point Siamese, spayed female, about 6 years of age. She is available for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Cat Condos. She has a quiet, humble, affectionate nature. Lilly is blind in both eyes, so small spaces are best for her to feel content and secure. Please be patient with her, perhaps letting her start in a little room in your home so that she can easily find her food, water, litter box, and bedding, then allow her more home access as she gains confidence. As with all cats, it is imperative she lives strictly indoors for her safety and protection. If you have a tender touch, Lilly would love to go home with you. These sweet sisters are surprisingly docile and loving, especially considering their mother was feral and would have nothing to do with humans. Cheeto & Frito were rescued from a local family's backyard when they were approximately five weeks of age, along with three other siblings. Their mother could not be caught and we do not know how or why she ended up outdoors to fend for herself. The five kittens went into a very caring foster home for socialization and to be nursed to good health. They made tremendous strides! All five love people and seem to have few cares in the world. Cheeto & Frito and their siblings are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption into forever homes where they will remain strictly indoors and safe. You can meet and adopt them in Nevada SPCA's kitten room in the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

Update: Woofy was adopted on July 7th! Woofy is blooming! He has come so far, yet still has a long way to go to become a well-balanced and well-adjusted young adult. Woofy is a German Shepherd mix, neutered male, approximately two years young. He was rescued from a small desert community as a puppy. He was nearly feral (completely undomesticated), so learning to trust people and fit into the human world began from scratch. Fortunately, he had a wonderful, diligent foster mom who helped him gain confidence, socialized him with cats and dogs, and taught him housetraining and crate-training. This progress took many months, but he is now ready for adoption and a forever home. He needs an exceptionally patient and quieter home because new people and new situations are terrifying to him. But once he trusts you, he shines!
