Your kindness has changed my view of the world.

Volunteers with passion for animal rescue & rehabilitation work every day to comfort confused animals and give them faith in humans.  Sometimes their magic works immediately.  Just days ago Craig arrived from another shelter that asked for our help because he was very timid.  Craig is a cream Chihuahua, 1 year of age, a neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Craig's is shining and his spirits are soaring thanks to the volunteers who have proven to him that humans can be quite kind.

Velvet's beautiful recovery.

Velvet's nightmare is over and her future will be so full of love and adoration that it is beyond her comprehension.  Velvet was found in downtown Vegas in shockingly atrocious condition.  Besides extreme filth and matting and emaciation, her head was shaking in pain from a severe ear infection and her left eye was missing.  Now cleaned, groomed, medicated, eating premium food, and comforted by volunteers, she is recovering beautifully.  Velvet is a gentle Lhasa-Poo, 3 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please help find Velvet a hero who will ensure she never knows disregard or cruelty again.

They are telling me not to give up. There is hope?

Topher is a serene older boy with a broken heart.  At the time of rescue he was at another shelter, after being found alone on the Vegas streets, and his previous owner failed to reclaim him.  Volunteers and staff are working to counter his feelings of rejection, by holding him and walking him, and by telling him that he is wanted and adorable.  Topher is a Dachshund, about 10 years of age, neutered, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help us find him a hero who will shower him with love and compassion in a gentle home environment.

I've come a long way, baby.

Anne Marie has endless hours of enjoyment in wading pools.  She loves playing in the water, lounging on pool steps, and dancing in the sprinklers.  Anne Marie is a medium-size, young Dutch Shepherd mix with beautiful tiger/brindle coloring, about 2 years of age, a spayed girl, housetrained, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Thanks to many hours of compassion from volunteers, Anne Marie has made a wonderful recovery from abuse.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for celebrating her progress with this gorgeous new portrait to help her find a responsible, loving forever home.
