Can't I live indoors in safety and comfort?

Image
Mena is a petite, captivating girl with soft blue eyes and she is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  A gentle home is best for her, indoors-only, of course.  Mena's previous owner kept her outdoors and she was so neglected that besides all of the grime and dirt in her coat, two of her claws had grown so long they had circled and torn into her paws.  When they dumped her they brought her in a shabby box that she quickly escaped from, and then she hid under a dumpster, terrified.  Mena is a gorgeous Tortie Point Siamese, about 6 years of age, spayed, and best-suited for a calm lifestyle.

Hold me, look in my blue eyes, and tell me I'm yours forever.

Dolly is a gorgeous, affectionate young Seal Point Siamese now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is 1 year of age, a spayed girl, and she melts in your arms.  Dolly reportedly lost her previous home because she is not fond of other cats.  Please specifically ask for Dolly by name when you visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

Bessie, an adorable, polydactyl kitten debuting for adoption.

Bessie's extra toes help her give even sweeter hugs.  She is an adorable baby girl rescued from a warehouse, found there all alone with no sign of her mom or siblings, when just a few weeks of age.  We placed Bessie in a wonderful foster home for tender loving care and socialization.  Bessie is now 3 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is polydactyl (extra toes) on all four paws.  Please ask for Bessie by name when you visit.

I just want to belong to someone who will cherish me.

Princess Trina is a dainty young girl with a beautiful spirit and she is fascinated most by watching "cat TV" (gazing out windows from the safety of the indoors).  She is a lovely blue-grey medium-hair, about 3 years of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Princess Trina has regal good looks and deep golden eyes, but she is down-to-earth and friendly to everyone, including other cats.  At the time of rescue a tenant had abandoned her outdoors without food or water and the landlord found her 10 days later.  Please help Princess Trina find someone to ensure she is always indoors and loved, never hungry or rejected again.

I closed my eyes and curled up in a ball, and waited for a miracle.

We are so heartened to see Adalyn upbeat and hopeful for her future.  At the time of rescue one of our staff was taking a walk and saw what he believed to be a dead cat lying against a wall near a road.  When he reached down to check for signs of life, two little green eyes popped open and she softly meowed, a cry for help.  He took off his shirt and wrapped her in it, fearing she had been struck by a car and had injuries.  But after getting her to Nevada SPCA, we realized she was just petrified from fear and confusion (she must have just been abandoned before he found her) and she was not injured.  We named this gorgeous girl Adalyn and she joyfully debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is previously declawed, about 7 years of age, spayed, and affectionate.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing her beautiful personality in this portrait.

The power of touch helps offset my lack of sight.

Midnight Magic delights in falling asleep in your arms and in your lap.  Her soft coat and sugary-sweet personality are perfect for snuggling.  Midnight Magic is 3 years of age, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She gets along beautifully with other cats.  At the time of rescue her left eye was severely damaged and could not be saved.  Her vision is impaired in her remaining eye and so it is important to take extra precautions kitty-proofing your home for her safety.

Do they feel any guilt when they think of me?

Lilly is so incredibly adorable and she almost looks like a cartoon or a toy.  She is very innocent and kind, she worships people, and she gets along well with other sweet cats.  Lilly is a petite orange tabby, about 8 years of age, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Lilly needed us when her previous owner abandoned her in an apartment.

Where do I go now?

Linda delights in napping and resting on soft pillows.  She is a beautiful, gentle medium-hair, previously declawed, about 10 years of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Linda needed us when her previous owner passed away.  She is good with cats and she is used to being around friendly dogs too.  Please help Linda find a wonderful home where she will be cherished and adored.

Mystery, an enchanting young Lynx Point Siamese mix debuting for adoption.

Mystery is an exceptionally engaging young girl who loves chatting with you and looking in your eyes.  She is a gorgeous Lynx Point Siamese mix, 2 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  One of our volunteers found Mystery stuffed in a cage with four other cats alongside a dumpster.  (All five survived and are becoming available for adoption as they are spayed/neutered.)  Mystery is an incredible treasure and she has enormous unconditional love to share with you.

My name is Bagira and I am at your service.

Bagira is a elegant, refined gentleman with a polite manner and he is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is a handsome shorthair, naturally tuxedo-clad, about 5 years of age and neutered.  Bagira gets along well with cats and dogs.  Like your own private butler, he will welcome you at the front door every time you return home.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing him so beautifully in this portrait.

I may not be a kitten, but I offer you a gentle, wise spirit and loyal devotion.

Midas is a big (14 pounds), lovable, mellow senior who asks only for peace and kindness.  He is a noble, distinguished medium-hair orange tabby with golden eyes, 12 years of age, neutered boy, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Midas gets along well with people and cats.  Character and personality are more important than age, so we hope someone wonderful will soon consider having him join their family.  If you know of someone with a calm lifestyle who would enjoy his gentle personality, please let him or her know about Midas .

Lars, an angelic kitten debuting for adoption.

Image
At the time of rescue Lars and his brother were rescued from a construction site.  Neither had much, if any, socialization with people, but the tender touch of a foster mom helped them grow and thrive and begin trusting people.  Lars is now 4 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  (His brother has already been adopted.)  Lars adores other cats and we strongly prefer finding him a home where he will be with at least one other cat to bond with.  Please always keep him safely indoors, as a cherished member of the family.

I am a treasure, not a piece of trash.

Pookus is a handsome lovebug who loves to catnap by windows, bathed in sun rays.  He is a golden brown tabby & white shorthair, neutered boy, about 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Pookus is one of five cats found by a volunteer stuffed inside a single cage and thrown away beside a dumpster.  (All five survived and are becoming available for adoption as we get them spayed/neutered and prepared.)  Pookus is blessed with an easy-going personality and just wants love and kindness and to live indoors only in safety from now on.

You will never doubt my love for you.

Checkers is a young girl with regal good looks, but the most beautiful thing about her is her down-to-earth and snuggly personality.  She is a black, smoke & white medium-hair, 18 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Checkers enjoys other cats and pounces on her toys for fun.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing her spirit so exceptionally in these portraits to help her find a loving, forever home.

I know I'm safe when you hold me.

Johnny needed us when his previous owner passed away and he had nowhere to go.  He loves being in your lap and being held in your arms.  Johnny is a very attractive and kind orange tabby & white shorthair with bright eyes, about 5 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Johnny loves other cats too and will snuggle with them during his afternoon catnaps.

Doodlebug: My name fits my personality.

Image
Doodlebug is an energetic baby boy who loves playing with other cats and kittens.  He is about 7 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Doodlebug's right ear folds backward (birth defect) but the rest of his ear seems to function normally.  Doodlebug enjoys squeaky toys and hopes you will give him lots of quality time daily.  Please kitten-proof your home for his safety.

I understand that peace-of-mind is happiness.

Miss Kitty needed us when her previous owner died and she had nowhere to go. She is very gentle and wise, and she takes delight in life's simple pleasures, like catnapping by windows to bask in the sun rays.  We love her easy-going personality. Miss Kitty is a beautiful grey & white shorthair with light green eyes, spayed girl, about 8 years of age, good with other cats, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

You believed in me and now I am blooming.

Jasmine is a gorgeous young girl who is fascinated by women's long hair and likes to play with it gently.  She is a calico shorthair, 2 years of age, spayed, good with other cats, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Jasmine was believed to be semi-feral (undomesticated) after being abandoned outdoors. But a foster mom worked with her extensively and Jasmine enjoys human companionship, trusts people, and relishes being brushed.  She is a bit shy, but her progress has been enormous.  A gentle, calm home would be ideal for Jasmine .

I may be the most loving baby you ever meet.

Gadget is an exceptionally affectionate kitten triumphantly debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. He loves to cuddle and give you kitty kisses. Gadget does not have a tail and limited mobility in his backlegs (due to a congenital defect called spina bifida), but he is very determined and athletic, still a fast runner and great climber. Gadget has been lovingly socialized in a foster home and he gets along well with cats and dogs. He is under 6 months of age, neutered, and now ready for a wonderful, forever home. Please help find Gadget a hero.

Did they move to a state that forbids kitties?

She is a gorgeous torbie tabby (brown & cream & white) shorthair with golden eyes, 1 year of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Bayview needed us when her previous owners moved and opted not to take her. She gets along well with other cats and relishes chasing the laser light.
