Every experience is better with my soul-mate.

Size differences don't matter when it comes to souls. These two girls, Molly & Shelby , are bonded for life and gently whine if the other leaves their eyesight. Both girls are exceptionally sweet, yet initially shy, spayed, and about 7-8 years of age.  Molly is a medium-size Shepherd and Retriever mix, while Shelby is a Longhair Chihuahua mix. Molly & Shelby debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please help us find them a wonderful, loving, forever home.

Lilly and Darla, playful young ferrets.

Image
As playful as these young girls are, they are gentle in your hands and delight in having attention from people.  Lilly & Darla are ferrets, 2 years of age, spayed, and strongly bonded to the point where they need to remain together forever, for lifelong love and companionship.  Lilly is a light sable and Darla is a dark sable.  Please ask for the girls by name when you visit Nevada SPCA.

We are living beings, baby bunnies, not holiday gimmicks.

Randolph & Theda are baby bunnies who were apparently purchased from a breeder for Easter, but like countless others then discarded when the holiday novelty wore off.  They are now spayed/neutered, about 6 months of age, and ready for adoption as a bonded, lifelong pair.  Randolph is a blue-eyed Dwarf mix boy and Theda is a gorgeous Hot Tot girl.  Please ask for them by name in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room.

My sister and I never want be abandoned again.

Update: Jillian & Gazelle were adopted on September 19th! Jillian (pictured here) & Gazelle are soul-mates whose bond grew ever stronger as they survived abandonment and extreme hunger for many weeks in the backyard of a foreclosed home. The girls are gorgeous, young Welsh Corgis, 1 to 2 years of age. They are now spayed and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Jillian & Gazelle are sweethearts with endearing personalities. But new people and new situations make them anxious, due to lack of socialization, and they are not yet even leash-trained. A patient, experienced owner will help them build confidence and continue their progress.

Our little "popcorning" hops occur when we are especially excited.

Update: Elvis & Moe were adopted on September 22nd! Elvis & Moe are exceptionally handsome Abyssinian guinea pigs with sweet natures. They are strongly bonded brothers and want to remain together forever. The boys are approximately 3 years of age, which is still relatively young for guinea pigs who generally live for 6 or 7 years. Once they get to know you, they will whistle in glee when you come, especially if they think you may have some fresh greens for them. The popcorn-hops are super cute and occur occasionally when they are particular joyful. Elvis & Moe are a bit hand shy at first, probably due to not being handled much in their previous home. But they are warm-hearted once they relax and trust you. We rescued the boys (and their brother Rodney) after their owner threw them away in a small box covered in mites. We gave each a few weeks of medical treatment and all made a full recovery from the mites. Elvis & Moe debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Who will love us now that our mom is gone?

Mr. Boots & Bubba are tiny boys with big characters. They are strongly bonded and soul-mates, and need to remain together forever. Mr. Boots & Bubba needed rescue when their mom died. They were used to a very quiet home, so the stress for them of her passing has been enormous. But in a gentle and quieter home, we believe they will quickly adjust and fit in. Please be patient with the boys though. They are Chihuahuas, neutered, and approximately 4-6 years of age. Mr. Boots & Bubba were not socialized well when they were younger, so they need a hero.

Can we be your little treasures?

Update: Heart & Soul were adopted together on September 3rd! Heart & Soul are incredibly adorable puppies, brother and sister, neutered and spayed, approximately 5 months of age. They are frisky, tenacious, and super sweet! Heart & Soul are Terrier & Toy mixes and we expect them to remain small. They love playing in water, so please consider getting a small wading pool for them. Heart & Soul were rescued after their owner abandoned them at a dumpster behind a pharmacy. Strong preference is given to keeping them together. They are bonded and enjoy each other's company tremendously.

We are brother and sister, and soul-mates too.

Update: Dana & Juicy Couture were adopted on September 11th! Dana & Juicy Couture are very fun young ferrets with curious natures. While they rest hard, they play hard too -- becoming energetic little "wiggleworms" on the go. Dana & Juicy Couture are brother and sister, neutered and spayed (respectively), and approximately one year of age. They are very strongly bonded, so it is unthinkable to separate them. Besides being committed to keeping them together, their ideal new owner should be knowledgeable about ferrets and planning on keeping them safe and loved their entire lifetimes. Dana & Juicy Couture are ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. You can ask for them at the front desk or with the Cat Condo staff.

Good foster care saved us and helped us blossom.

Update 2: Joey & JoJo were adopted on August 27th! Update 1: Jack was adopted on August 26th! JoJo, Joey, & Jack are very gentle-hearted puppies who have adventurous spirits. The brothers are most likely Chihuahua & Terrier mixes and they will remain small in size. We rescued the boys when they were only 5 weeks of age. We placed them in a very experienced and caring foster home where they began to thrive physically and socially. JoJo, Joey, & Jack are used to being with other sweet and friendly dogs. They loved playing together in the large garden at the foster home. The brothers enjoy people very much too. Each loves to cuddle and give kisses when they are happy and relaxed. The boys can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. They hopefully have at least 15 good years of life ahead of them and they would love to spend their lives with others of their own kind for deep companionship and bonding.

Please carefully puppy-proof your house for my safety.

Update: Socks was adopted on August 20th! Socks (pictured here) and his brother Snowflake are Cockapoo puppies (Cocker Spaniel & Poodle mixes) with gentle, loving natures. The boys have few resemblances to one another, but their owner assured us they are related, born from the same litter 3 months ago. Their owner relinquished them due to his poor health. Socks and Snowflake can be adopted separately, but we give preference to keeping them together. They are wonderful together and can provide each other lifelong companionship. If you are considering them, please be sure to budget extra for regular grooming care. And puppies need very thorough puppy-proofing of your home and yard for their protection. The boys debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

We need to always keep each other in sight.

We honor the very strong bonds adult animals make with one another and require them to be adopted together (when splitting them up could cause emotional trauma or severe depression). Annie & Mushu are not just sister and brother, but they are also soul-mates. These two attractive Shar-Peis prefer to always be touching and they sleep curled up together. If out of each others' eyesight, even for a minute, they will cry and show distress. Annie & Mushu are well-behaved, housetrained, and kennel-trained. They are approximately 2 years of age. They are wary of strangers, but once they trust you both are very loving and may even try to crawl in your lap to get close for affection. Therefore, a quieter home with a stable routine is probably the best fit for them, plus an owner who is knowledgeable about Shar-Peis. Annie & Mushu were abandoned by their owners who lost their home to foreclosure. A temporary care-taker helped care for them until we were able to make room ...

Sister and brother, together forever.

Update: Rosie & Rocco were adopted on July 8th! Rosie & Rocco are siblings who have forged a very strong bond. So they're not just sister and brother, they are soul-mates, so keeping them together forever is a necessity. They are beautiful Papillons, spayed and neutered, just under four years of age. They debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Rosie & Rocco are fine with other sweet dogs, as well as with mature, gentle children. They require regular grooming care, so please be sure to budget extra accordingly. Papillon knowledge and/or experience is preferred. They needed us for rescue when their owner's home foreclosed and the family was split apart. Please help us honor the bonds of soul-mates by considering Rosie & Rocco or one of the other dozen pairs of bonded dogs for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

50 rescued bunnies for adoption.

Update: We now have 70 rabbits for adoption. Devyn & Daphne are still available. Devyn & Daphne, brother & sister, are two baby Dwarf mix bunnies. They are spayed/neutered and ready for adoption today. Please see Brandy or Yuri in our Rescued Rabbit & Guinea Pig Room for assistance. Rejected "Easter Bunnies" are coming to us on a daily basis already, and this tragic annual trend worsens in the summer season. We are now up to 50 rescued rabbits. Each need to live indoors with families who understand they are loving beings with feelings and needs, not toys or decorations or holiday gimmick gifts. If at all possible, remember to consider adopting a pair. Rabbits are social animals who usually thrive with a bonded mate.
