Sierra & Dandelion

Image
Sierra & Dandelion , baby sisters, survived cruel abandonment and recovered beautifully.    The girls are now ready for adoption today in the Lovebug Room at Nevada SPCA . A kind man walking in his neighborhood park was surprised when these two baby guinea pigs ran toward him squealing for help. They were pleading for food, but too afraid to let him touch them, so they ran under a large bush. Numerous people gathered together at the park to safely catch the girls and get them to safety. Since their rescue Sierra & Dandelion have been feasting on fresh greens, Timothy Hay, and veggies. They are about 6 months of age and learning to trust people handling and touching them.

Tulip and Heather and their baby sisters.

Image
Tulip and Heather and their two sisters, just 4 weeks of age, need a foster home please for approximately 2 months.  If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person.  The four girls were rescued from another shelter that asked for our help. They initially tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), so they must be fostered away from other cats.  Please share their picture to help find a hero.

Darlene and Sharlene

Image
Darlene and Sharlene were reportedly captured by a construction worker in last month's heavy rains as they were in peril of being washed away into a storm drain. Both were terrified and suffering from respiratory infections. Now healed, spayed, and thriving, these baby girls are ready today for adoption at Nevada SPCA .    They are affectionate and playful tabby kittens, 4 months of age, and good with other cats.    Darlene tosses her toys so she can pounce on them. Sharlene begins purring the moment you touch her.

Annie and Jane

Image
Annie is an adventurous baby girl who loves exploring rooms and playing hide & seek with people and cats.    Everything and everyone in the home is fascinating to her. Annie is a blue & cream (dilute tortoiseshell) kitten, 3 months of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . After being found motherless at only a few weeks of age, Annie survived by bottle feeding and nurturing care in a devoted foster home. She was raised and socialized with cats, dogs, and kids.  Jane is Annie's sister.  Jane loves her toys.  She was raised and socialized in the same wonderful foster home as her sister.

Punkin and Spice

Punkin Spice Punkin and Spice are adorable, affectionate baby sisters who like giving puppy kisses.  The girls are longhair & shorthair Chihuahuas, 6 months of age, good with other dogs, crate-trained, and now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.   Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. Punkin and Spice can be adopted separately, but consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship.

Laverne & Shirley

Sadie and Sophie

Image
Sadie Sophie     Sadie and Sophie are darling baby girls debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  They are two of four dogs found abandoned in a park.  We believe the other two are their parents -- their mother, who is pregnant again, a Longhair Chihuahua mix, is in a foster home -- and their father, a tiny 5-pound Chihuahua who will be ready for adoption soon.  Sadie and Sophie are gentle and loving, about 6 months of age and now spayed. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong companionship.

Ann and Foxy, adorable and entertaining baby sisters for adoption.

Image
Ann Foxy At the time of rescue Ann and Foxy were very young kittens found near a swimming pool by a person who heard panicked screaming. Ann was dangerously tangled in a net around her neck and front legs.  We rushed her to a veterinary clinic that saved her life, but best efforts could not save her severely fractured front right leg. The white on Ann's neck is from where her hair grew back over her scar tissue.  Ann and Foxy have since been wonderfully raised and cared for in a loving foster home.  The girls are now 4 months of age, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please kitten-proof your home for their safety.   The girls can be adopted separately, but please consider keeping them together for lifelong companionship. Ann has adjusted remarkably well to life on three legs. She can run just as fast as her sister! She loves other cats and delights in resting on your chest while you're watching TV or reading.   ...

Olivia Newton-John Puppies debuting for adoption today!

Image
John, baby boy. Newton, baby boy. Olivia, baby girl. Sandy, baby girl. These four sweethearts are exceptionally docile and they have tremendous loving potential. They were at another shelter that asked for our help because of their timidity.  They need to gain self-esteem and confidence in an experienced, stable home environment. Olivia and Sandy are baby girls.  John and Newton are baby boys.  They are Australian Cattle Dog mixes, perhaps with Retriever & Bully, about 4-5 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  They are lovingly nicknamed the "Olivia Newton-John Puppies" and expected to grow to medium-size. The puppies can be adopted separately.  They may do best with a big brother or big sister dog to help them adjust. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

Promise to love us every single day of our lives.

Bella Bonita Guapa Linda These four beautiful baby girls were found outdoors, alone, with their mom nowhere in sight. We placed them in a loving foster home where they have been raised and socialized (with cats and a small dog) and showered with affection.  The girls -- Bella , Bonita , Guapa , and Linda -- are now well-adjusted, about 4 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Here is personality information on the girls, as related by their foster family: Bella loves to be pampered.  She will cry and fuss if things just aren't right and she needs more attention. Bonita is inquisitive and likes to follow you around from room-to-room.  She may especially do best in a home with another cat. Guapa is exceptionally loving and gives you nose kisses. Linda is very athletic and spunky, but when it's time to rest she purrs heartily in your arms. The girls can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair ...

Mya and Lani, baby sisters now ready for adoption.

Image
Lani and Mya , baby sisters, were raised and socialized in a loving foster home after their rescues as newborns.  Lani was inseparable from her foster family's Labrador Retriever -- playing with him, following him around, and snuggling against him during naps.  Mya enjoys chasing laser lights and wiggly toes. Both girls have also been beautifully socialized with other cats and children.  They are gorgeous blue & cream & white (dilute calico) shorthair kittens, now 3 months of age, spayed girls, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please kitten-proof your home for their safety.
