Inspiring update on Richard!

Image
Inspiring update we want to share with you! Richard's new dad, Jeremy, sent this picture and reports: " Richard is settling in great and receiving more love than I think he knows what to do with. He's already found his favorite place to hang out in the backyard (under my tree) and in the house (my bed)." Jeremy also says Richard is enjoying long walks and showing love and affection. Richard is still flinching when he hears loud noises, but Jeremy says they will work through this with positive encouragement and comfort. Richard is one of the Majestic Brothers. More details on his rescue here.

Rosie needs a foster home please!

Image
Rosie , just rescued and soon ready to give birth, asks for a gentle foster home where she can birth and raise her babies. Rosie is 1 of 5 rescued dogs currently needing foster heroes. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person. Rosie is so humble that she approaches you by laying her head on your feet. She coos when you praise her and pet her. We rescued her from another shelter that ran out of space for her. She is a young Retriever mix, about 2 years of age, and good with other dogs.

Enormous need for foster heroes for fragile lives!

Randy and 41 more fragile, rescued animals await nurturing foster homes! Please share this post to help find heroes! We deeply appreciate everyone's help during this most difficult year yet for motherless newborns and pregnant animals found in peril throughout the metro area. If you can foster, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Katelyn. Randy is a Chihuahua puppy, about 8 weeks of age, found alone with his mother nowhere in sight. 30 more puppies, including newborns, and 11 motherless kittens, need the tender care and comfort of a home environment for their physical and emotional well-being until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered.

A kinder world begins with saving one innocent life at a time.

Our deepest thanks to all of you who support animal rescue, rehabilitation & adoption!   Nevada SPCA's lifesaving work for those in desperate need is possible only because of your compassion and generosity. (We are not funded by the government or national animal groups.)  We hope you will participate in "Giving Tuesday" on December 3 , which is a national day of charity, or at any time during the holiday season at your convenience. More information on Giving Tuesday. Special thanks to Pet'ographique ( www.petographique.com ) for these glorious portraits of rescued animals (Nautilus, Serenity, Felix, and Stanley) and this collage for Giving Tuesday and the season of giving.
