Mother Teresa

Image
Mother Teresa not only nurtured her own 5 babies (after being rescued from a backyard), but also served as the surrogate mother who saved the lives of three motherless newborn kittens, and a motherless rabbit too.    Her babies have been spay ed/neutered and adopted (the most recent being " The Krispie Kittens ", her adopted kittens, who found lifelong homes last week), so now it's Mother Teresa's turn to find a loving, forever home.    Mother Teresa is an exceptionally affectionate, thoughtful, and beautiful sandy brown tabby with white mitts, 2 years young, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.   Thank you to her foster parents for helping Mother Teresa and all of her babies.

A miracle for Romeo.

Romeo, in his new courtyard This is truly a season of miracles and blessings for the animals.  One of them we must share with you is for Romeo , a senior boy who had been with us for months.  You may remember he was brutally surrendered after 13 years by his previous owner for having too much hair.  Last week, an angel on this Earth named Marcia , who has fostered and nurtured hundreds of motherless newborn kittens through the years, told her husband that adopting Romeo is all she wanted for Christmas.  Romeo is in heaven acting like a big brother to her cats and bonding with Marcia and her husband.  He walks slowly, but gets around fine in their home, courtyard, and casita because he at most only has to get up one small step.  Romeo is in his twilight months, but he will leave this world surrounded by kindness and knowing he is loved and appreciated.
