Even groomed, Poppy's hair had fun in the great winds today sweeping through Las Vegas. He didn't mind a bit because being held and praised is his top comfort.  Poppy is a gentle "Schnoodle" (Miniature Schnauzer & Poodle mix), 7 years of age and neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs and older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Poppy needed us due to his previous owners' financial hardship.

Ronaldo often cries with joy when you hug and cuddle him. He wants to be a lap dog. Ronaldo is a young Bully & Staffie mix, 2 years of age, good with other dogs (unconfirmed), now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

We love Rudolpho's expressive ears!    He is an affectionate, gentle, delightful youngster hoping you will consider him to become a valued member of your forever family. Rudolpho is a Toy & Terrier mix, 1 year of age, good with other dogs, housetrained & crate-trained, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .    He was surrendered by his previous owner due to having too busy of a work schedule.    Please visit and ask for Rudolpho by name.

Slevin enjoying his three favorite things this morning -- doggie kisses, tennis balls, and wading pools!  Slevin is a sporty, affectionate American Bulldog mix, 4 years of age, neutered boy, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA. Chandler , 9, gently head-bumps you for nuzzling and affection.    When you pet him, he'll try to sneak in cat kisses too. Chandler is an exceptionally attractive cream medium-hair feline, neutered, good with cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    He needed us because of the declining health of his previous owner.    A calm home environment is perfect for Chandler .

Slevin hopes his new owner will love getting licks and kisses! He expresses his gratitude for kindness with great affection and joy. Slevin is an American Bulldog mix, 4 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is wonderfully friendly and we believe he has the temperament to be exceptional with mature kids. Slevin may be fine with larger dogs (unconfirmed), but cannot be around small animals. We rescued him from another shelter and his background is mostly unknown, except that a police officer confiscated him from his previous home. Slevin deserves to know what a very loving home feels like.

Tomas now holds his head high, meets people with ease and asks for petting.  This young boy has come so far! At the time of rescue he was out on the streets and so ill and weak that his head hung low near his feet.  Tomas is a handsome boy, 2 years of age, neutered, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA in the Ocean Playroom.

Leonard kisses your hand and wrist as you pet him.  He is so grateful for all kindness and attention.  Leonard needed us when his previous owner passed away.  He is a tuxedo shorthair, 10 years of age, neutered boy, good with other cats, previously declawed (front paws), and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Buttercup craves kindness and gives doggie kisses to everyone who is nice to him.  He is a very attractive blend of Spaniel & Retriever (about 40 pounds), 4 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Buttercup is good with other dogs too.  He was at another shelter that asked for our help.  He reportedly had lost at least 5 homes and become so fearful of abandonment that he developed separation anxiety.  While there's no instant fix for separation anxiety, there are reasonable steps that can be taken in a stable home to help Buttercup gain self-assurance for the times when he is alone.

Stanley has been waiting patiently for months for a hero.  At the time of rescue earlier this year he was found tied to a post along a walking trail in a park.  Stanley is charming and very affectionate with those he gets to know, which is one of the reasons he is a favorite of many volunteers.  Stanley may be fine with large dogs, but he cannot be around small animals.  Stanley is a pumpkin brindle Bully mix, almost 8 years of age, neutered boy, eagerly awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these remarkable portraits to help Stanley .
