Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Thanks to weeks of loving care in a foster home, Estelle's spirit is soaring and her jovial personality is emerging. Estelle is 1 of 35 rescued Blond Angels from a home where previous owners were convicted of animal cruelty. She is a White Shepherd & Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, 5 months of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Estelle enjoys playing ball and interacting with other dogs. Morgan and Wentworth -- 2 more of the 35 rescued Blond Angels -- debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Morgan is a thinker and likes to assess situations before deciding what he wants to do.  He has begun wagging his tail when we greet him and no longer runs into corners to hide.  He is 2 years young and neutered. Wentworth "helps" the staff clean his kennel by standing on the brushes, splashing his water bowl, and finding fun in clever ways.  His emotional improvement has been terrific and he's now to the point of sneaking puppy kisses on his caretakers.  Wentworth is 7 months of age and neutered. The 35 Blond Angels are becoming available for adoption based on their emotional development and progress, then spay/neuter surgeries.  All are thriving, at varying speeds and levels, and a few have already been adopted. Colton King Nicholas 3 more of the 35 rescued Blond Angels -- Colton , King , and Nicholas -- are ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.   All three are sensitive, gentle, exceptionally timid, White Shepherd & Yellow Labrador Retriever mixes, approximately 3-4 years of age, and now neutered. The boys need heroes to help them continue improving with trust and socialization. It's a long journey that cannot be forced, but their development is exceeding expectations as they are accepting our kindness, learning to walk on leash, letting us touch them, and more. Wonderful news to share! Gabriel was adopted moments ago by his foster parents, making him the first of the 35 rescued Blond Angels to find a forever home. Gabriel had never been in a loving home before, so he cried the first night until his foster dad, Curtis, slept on the floor beside him.    His new mom, Jennifer, is wonderful too and she says Gabriel enjoys sitting on his sister's (Tia) back on the couch while he looks out the window and surveys the neighborhood (as pictured here). Hansel is 1 of the 33 Blond Angels rescued last week from a severely neglectful home (and whose previous owners have been convicted of animal cruelty). Hansel and the others are extremely timid and need foster heroes to help socialize them before they are spayed/neutered and then ready for adoption. Hansel flinches when first touched. Being petted is a new experience and he doesn't understand why people want to touch him. He is 1 year of age, and like the other Blond Angels, a mix of White Shepherd and Yellow Labrador Retriever. The total is now 33 Blond Angels (including the 25 rescued April 19) safely at Nevada SPCA.    Veterinarians and dog trainers are helping us determine which ones can go into nurturing foster care and which ones need more time with us before they can join foster homes. All are unsocialized (their previous owners were convicted of animal cruelty) and need very experienced foster parents please.
