30 rescued kittens need foster heroes!

Image
The tender, nurturing love of a foster parent is paramount for fragile lives. Victoria and and 29 other rescued kittens need heroes. Please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren if you can help foster. Victoria , just 2 weeks of age, was found on the grounds of a condominium complex. Please consider sharing this post to help. Thank you.

Victoria , the most adorable lovebug, enjoys giving people doggie kisses. We suspect she was surrendered perhaps to save her from an angry and potentially violent child. Her previous owner cited "niece doesn't like her looks" as the reason for the surrender and the child was inexplicably glaring at Victoria with severe disdain while her aunt turned her into the shelter. Victoria could not be any cuter! She is a Toy & Terrier mix, 1 year young, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Victoria , 11, listens carefully to the tone of your every word, hoping she can understand you precisely. When you talk sweet, she leans in closer.    Victoria is a beautiful spirit, a gentle Dachshund, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Victoria was found in the middle of a busy road. We traced her microchip ID to her previous family, but they said her owner's mental health had deteriorated (due to dementia) and asked us to instead find Victoria a wonderful new home where she would be safer.

Victoria , a beautiful young spirit, pleads for consideration and a stable home where she will always be treasured and safe.  She is a German Shepherd, 1 year of age, housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs and older kids, and now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Victoria is very timid with new people. We do not know what she endured in her previous home and she inexplicably had an untreated neck wound at the time of rescue.  A very experienced home is needed to prove to Victoria that humans can be kind, nurturing, and gentle.

Victoria adores men and melts in their hands, smiling and care-free. But if a woman approaches, Victoria becomes very fearful and cowers. We don't know what she endured. Victoria was found tied to a tree without food or water or any other sign of responsible ownership. She had a head wound that required 2 months of healing. Victoria is a blue-grey & white Bully mix, likely with American Bulldog, 1 year young, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Before & After -- Victoria

Image
Victoria, May 18 Victoria, June 6 Victoria is a precious young Maltese with a gentle soul and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We decided to share one of her "before" pictures, after being found on the streets, in order to better tell her story. However, her condition was much more grave beyond just horrific neglect, with a massive wound on her left side (which is too graphic to post), from an unknown cause (suspected dog or coyote attack). Victoria has healed well, bonded with other sweet dogs here, and snuggled with staff and volunteers. Physically and emotionally, she is making a terrific recovery. She is 2 years of age, now spayed, and asking for a peaceful owner where she will always know she's cherished.

Adele Lucky Lana Victoria At the time of rescue these baby girls were newborns so young they barely had their eyes open. They were crying and their mom was nowhere in sight. We placed them in a loving foster home for bottle feedings every 3 hours and this nurturing care helped them grow into healthy, sweet kittens. They are now 3 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Adele and Lucky Lana are golden brown tabbies and Victoria has tortoiseshell coloring.

I am a kitten with a lifetime of love and devotion to share with you.

Victoria is a very enchanting, gorgeous kitten now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. She is a grey medium-hair tabby, spayed girl, 5 months of age.  She was rescued from a housing complex where she had been abandoned. She may be best as the only cat in the home so she can have you all to herself. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these stunning portraits of Victoria and for their 5th Annual Pet Portrait Fundraiser through July (details at www.nevadaspca.org )

I am starting to understand that I am worthy of love.

Unloved and neglected for many years, her spirit barely lit after banishment to living just in a backyard without much interaction, Victoria is now elated to be getting loving care.  Her soul is soaring! Victoria is becoming quite the jazzy girl, cherishing the spotlight, barking at us if we dare to ignore her. Victoria is a Labrador Retriever, spayed, about 6 years of age.  She is recovering well physically too -- at the time of rescue she was in very poor condition -- and we had an operation provided for her to repair ingrown eyelashes. She is compatible with cats and dogs.  Please be patient with her adjusting to living primarily indoors and completing housetraining.  We seriously doubt she has ever had the pleasure of walking on carpet before, and until her portrait sitting at Pet'ographique to help her find a forever home, we don't believe she ever before laid on a couch.  Please adopt Victoria and help her continue to bloom.  It is wondrou...
