A Star Is Born.

Update: Joy was adopted on January 13th! Joy delights in dancing and singing, winning your smiles and attention. In our eyes, this 3-month old baby girl is already a superstar.  She is a tiny Chihuahua mix, spayed, and debuting for adoption today. The loving care and socialization from a foster home not only saved her life, but helped her personality bloom.   Fostering kittens and puppies is hard work, but it makes a life-saving difference for the animals in the most desperate of need. And Joy was in urgent need at the time of rescue, found terrified and hungry in the cold after being abandoned on a couple's front porch. Joy enjoys other sweet dogs and craves all the adoration you can generate for her.  Because of her teacup size, she needs an especially conscientious owner who will ensure the family home and yard are safe for her.

My personality sparkles.

Update: Louise was adopted on September 18th! Please come meet Louise . We know you will find her irresistible. She is a Teacup Pomeranian, spayed female, about 7 years young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Louise from another shelter. While we do not have much background on her, we know she craves attention, adores people, and enjoys other sweet dogs. Please plan on regular grooming care and budget extra accordingly.

3 pounds of love and inspiration.

Update: Lil' Bit was adopted on December 3rd! This little angel has come a long way in the past few months, thanks to loving foster care. Lil' Bit debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She has a tender soul. When joyous, she turns into a cute wiggleworm. Lil' Bit is a Teacup Chihuahua, spayed, and about 5 months of age. She is good with other gentle dogs. Her special needs are likely to continue the rest of her life. She has neurological damage, the most noticeable results of which are a slightly tilted head and spinning when excited. We do not know what caused the damage (whether an accident or from birth), but she arrived to us just a few weeks old and in emergency need of foster care. We have reason to believe she was a "throw away" from a backyard breeder who knew she was a bit different and could not command a regular puppy sales fee. If you would like to meet and consider Lil' Bit , please ask for her by name at the headquarters. (She is not...

Please be patient with me and help me with my continued recovery.

WonTon is a tiny little boy with a big, fiery personality. His heart is pure gold, but he has had to build up his defenses in order to survive. WonTon was rescued while dodging traffic at a busy intersection. He was such a wreck though that is was obviously clear he had been the victim of longer-term neglect and abuse. Physically, we had his teeth cleaned and his ruptured anal glands repaired, and more. But emotionally, the scars will take more time and work to heal. WonTon is all of three pounds. Being teacup-size though did not stop a monster from hitting him, and probably screaming at him too. With patience and a stable routine in a gentle home, trust will develop. When relaxed, he is loving and playful. But with new people, his guard is up. WonTon is a Chihuahua, neutered male, approximately 6 years of age. He is fine with some dogs, but picky who he likes. He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We think he will be overjoyed, and relieved, when he realizes that humans ...

My love is precious.

Update: Belle was adopted on June 1st! Belle loves to snuggle. She is an angelic, gentle, and sensitive Teacup Chihuahua. She is a spayed female, approximately 18 months young, and she enjoys other calm and sweet dogs. Belle needed rescue because her owner took her to a dog-sitter, but then left her there and moved away without her. Let's ensure that Belle's heart is never broken again. It now may take her longer to trust that she can give her whole heart again. A quieter, calmer home will be the best match for her. Belle is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
