Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Petunia is ready to believe in people again.  She trusts women much quicker than she does men and fast hand or foot movements near her are startling.  We don't know what Petunia has endured, but a violent past is beyond doubt.  She is an English Bulldog, 4 years of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  English Bulldog knowledge is needed for her adoption.  Petunia needs a one-dog household (she doesn't like other dogs) and someone who will patiently continue helping her improve, with a very stable and peaceful lifestyle.  We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help.

Petunia is a kind, loyal young girl who dreams of being loved.  She is a beautiful Bully mix, 2 years of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Petunia is crate-trained and may be compatible with some dogs.  Most of her background is unknown, except that she was left behind at a veterinary hospital with a uterine infection (pyometra).  The hospital staff fell in love with her and saved her life, then asked us to adopt her into a responsible, forever home. We suspect Petunia has been roughed up and abused, based on her fear of being pushed or physically forced against her will.  Otherwise, she is remarkably sweet and jovial.  Please help us find her a home where she will only experience the best of human nature.

With your help, Petunia will soon finally know what a loving home feels like.    She is a bashful, pretty Miniature Pinscher, 5 years of age, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Petunia will likely do best in a home with another dog to help give her guidance.    We rescued her from another shelter which reported that her previous owners admitted to a loveless home without indoor access or socialization or training.    The extensive damage to the edges of Petunia's ears is apparently from insect bites and the sun.    We are eager to find her an amazing home where she will be showered with love and kindness.

Vanessa Baby Simon Petunia Baby Simon and his sisters, Petunia and Vanessa , earned their nicknames because of their appearance at the time of rescue and their multi-color noses.  We lovingly call them "The Piglet Puppies" and they are debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They are 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and expected to grow to medium size.  All three are affectionate and very playful and they love hugs. The Piglet Puppies and their mother were at another shelter.  So sadly, their mother, a Bully mix, was deemed too aggressive there and she was euthanized.  The shelter's staff contacted Nevada SPCA and asked if we could rescue the three babies and put them in loving foster homes. Barb, their foster mom, has been giving them exceptional care.  But now they are ready for forever homes. Petunia is a comical baby girl debuting for adoption today at 1pm at Nevada SPCA.  We love her light-hearted spirit and hope she never loses her innocence.  Petunia is an adorable blend of many breeds, perhaps including Chinese Crested Powder Puff, almost 4 months of age, spayed, and good with other dogs.  She likes to play ball and needs regular professional grooming.  Please be sure to puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety.  Petunia needed us due to her previous owner's financial hardship.

An angel from heaven, Petunia is blind, 10-12 years old, and homeless.  But she trusts us to find her someone to cherish her every day she has left on Earth.  Volunteers took her to Pet'ographique yesterday and she held her head proudly high for her portrait, reacting well to soft voices and tender touches.  She is a wonderful cuddler and she has an ocean of unconditional devotion to share.   Petunia is a Miniature Schnauzer mix who needs a hero and we ask for your help so she can have can have someone special to love and adopt her.
