21 more rescued motherless kittens today -- including Helena , Nico , and Opal , who are pictured here -- need loving foster homes! Please share this post or visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Lauren if you can help foster these fragile lives. Most of the 21 kittens so far today are eating on their own and don't require bottle-feeding. They need nurturing care and socialization for approximately 6-8 weeks. Sharing these posts makes a difference finding foster heroes. Thank you very much to all of you who are helping!

Bonnie Blue Belle, Jade, Opal, Phoebe, Piper

Bonnie Blue Belle Jade Opal Phoebe Piper We are inspired by the progress of these five girls!   Bonnie Blue Belle , Jade , Opal , Phoebe , and Piper debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They are 5 more of the 33 dogs confiscated from squalor and horrors. The girls are beginning to walk on leash, wag their tails when they greet us, step into our laps for cuddling, and exhibit other ways of accepting compassion.    All are gentle and blooming. Nevertheless, very experienced heroes are needed to adopt them because they have never experienced a loving home before and will need time and patience to adjust. The girls are 3 and 4 years of age and now spayed. They are medium in size, ranging from 20-33 pounds, blends of Whippet, Beagle, Mini Bully, and more. More details on the 33 rescued dogs .

Mom & baby daughters for adoption.

Mom & baby girls -- Agate , flanked by her daughters, Topaz and Opal -- are looking for a home where they can remain together forever. Guinea pigs are very social animals and we're so glad to help mom be able to remain with her babies. Agate , a Crested guinea pig, 1 year of age, was found in a family's backyard, abandoned and pregnant.  She gave birth here and has raised her daughters well, with tender help from staff and volunteers.  Topaz and Opal are 2 months of age. Please come meet and adopt the trio in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room.

I want to bask in your love and adoring attention.

Update: Opal was adopted on November 14th! Opal is a bright, bubbly young girl with an outgoing, curious nature. She is a Lhasa Apso with a beautiful, relatively rare hair color (called "red" but more of a reddish-mocha-brown). She is spayed and about 3 years of age. We rescued Opal from another shelter. Opal reportedly bonds with one person at a time and does not like sharing people. However, we have not witnessed any behavior like this. We do know that Opal enjoys other dogs and needs regular grooming care (so be sure to budget extra). Opal's debut in adoptions is today and you can ask for this angel by name at our front desk.
