Minnie

Minnie , completing a beautiful recovery from massive trauma, is ready to share her gentle spirit and unconditional love with someone wonderful for life.    She is an Italian Greyhound & Chihuahua mix, 1 year young, good with other dogs, spayed, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . When we rescued Minnie in February, she was at another shelter with severe and graphic wounds (consistent with being struck by a vehicle). Her left paw was fractured and degloved. We rushed her into emergency care and veterinarians were able to save her left leg and paw, thanks to extensive treatment made possible by generous donors.

Minnie , 16, asks for a hero. She is a tiny, calm-natured Pomeranian who likes being held in gentle arms.    She is good with other sweet dogs.     Minnie was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her age and previous neglect.    Minnie is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Mickey, Pluto, and Minnie need a foster home please.

7 more motherless kittens just rescued and need loving foster homes too! Pictured here are Mickey, Pluto, and Minnie, who are about 5 weeks of age, found outdoors without a mother. If you can help the trio, or any of the other motherless kittens, please visit Nevada SPCA in person before 4pm and ask for Janean. Please also consider sharing this post to help. Thank you!

Our foster mom is our hero.

Jackpot Justin Mickey Minnie Minnie and her three brothers -- Jackpot , Justin , and Mickey -- have been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home since their rescue.  (They were reportedly born to stray momma cat running loose at an apartment complex.) Their foster mom has given them wonderful care and all are well-adjusted, even Jackpot , who is very shy still. The kittens are now 6 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for their safety.  Also, please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship, though they can be adopted individually. According to their foster mom: Jackpot needs to continue building confidence, Justin is very cuddly, Mickey is exceptionally athletic and adventurous, and Minnie is a perfect lady, prim and proper.

They left us behind, but we still had each other.

Minnie & Molly are sisters whose bond only grew stronger when they experienced the trauma of abandonment in a foreclosed home. Fortunately, a caring neighbor suspected the girls were trapped inside and took steps to get them saved. Minnie & Molly still believe in people. They have big, sweet smiles to share with everyone kind, and you can see their tails wagging in excitement to greet you. The girls are Boxer and Retriever mixes, spayed, about 8 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. At the time of rescue both had advanced medical needs. We had a tumor on Minnie's uterus removed and multiple mammary tumors on Molly removed. They bounced back and recovered beautifully. ( Please donate online if you would like to help us with their medical expenses .) Minnie & Molly are soul-mates. Please be sure they stay together their entire lives. We hope you come meet them in our adoption courtyard today.

I feel most at ease with calm, mellow people.

Update: Minnie was adopted on November 3rd! Minnie is a sensitive, precious little girl with a gentle soul. With her unique good looks and piercing grey-hazel eyes, she defies easy breed description, so our best guess is that she is a Toy & Terrier mix. Minnie , who debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA, is spayed and approximately 4 years of age. Minnie's background is a mystery. We rescued her from another shelter. But we know she will do best in a quieter home. She is great with other sweet dogs, and being around them seems to help her with her confidence. Please ask for this special lady today at Nevada SPCA's front desk.
