Morrissey would love to leap into your life and loving home.

Image
Morrissey's outgoing personality and very handsome appearance has been captured wonderfully in these beautiful portraits courtesy of Pet'ographique.   While adventurous, Morrissey likes to get completely relaxed for his naps, stretching his body out on his bunny condo loft.  Morrissey is a Lop & Lionhead mix rabbit, neutered boy, 2 years young, ready for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room. We rescued Morrissey after his previous owner abandoned him in the middle of the night on a sidewalk.

Snugs & Magellan

Snugs & Magellan , in a beautiful portrait courtesy of Pet'ographique to help them find a loving, forever home. Snugs & Magellan are completely devoted to one another, plus they have more than enough affection left over for you. Snugs is a gorgeous Lionhead rabbit, spayed girl, 5 years of age. Magellan is a handsome Agouti rabbit, neutered boy, 3 years young. These soul-mates needed us when their previous owners divorced. Please ask for Snugs & Magellan by name in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room.

Being able to stay together would be a dream-come-true.

Valentina, Clancy, and Fawn These adorable little heartbreakers are full of adolescent bunny energy and curiosity.  They are easy to handle, friendly thanks to socialization with our staff and volunteers. The siblings are Lionhead and Dwarf mix rabbits, spayed/neutered, about 6 months of age so they are still considered "kits" (baby bunnies).  Clancy is a boy and Valentina and Fawn are his sisters. The three LOVE being together.  We always find them cuddling close, bonding, concerned about one another.  We prefer seeing them adopted together as a trio .   But we are open to a pair going home as long as the third finds a home with another bunny who he or she can bond with too. At the time of rescue they were out on the streets, confused and lost, their mother probably killed trying to raise them outdoors.  From now on, an indoor-only lifestyle is essential. Their portrait is courtesy of Pet'ographique .

I love to let my hair down and relax in style.

Update: Rapunzel was adopted on December 16th! Rapunzel is an adorable, gorgeous youngster ready to find a forever home this holiday season. She is a Lionhead rabbit with a very striking smoke mane.  She is spayed and about 18 months of age. Besides her appearance, her personality is what makes her so beautiful.  She delights in gentle attention and getting nice and cozy on soft blankets.  She would love to be pampered every day. We rescued Rapunzel from another shelter, so her background is a mystery.  Lionhead bunnies need regular brushing, especially to keep their manes clean and tangle-free. Please visit Nevada SPCA's new Lovebugs Room and ask for Rapunzel by name.

I am a princess in the form of a Lionhead bunny.

When we rescued this angel from another shelter, one of our staff noted that she looks like royalty, especially with her leonine appearance and graceful movements. This observation inspired the name we selected for her, Swan Lake , which is the ballet with music composed by Tchaikovsky. Swan Lake is a Lionhead rabbit, spayed, about 18 months young. She enjoys people, but has a bit of the diva personality when we clean her bunny condo or we are too slow to get her daily greens to her.  But mostly she has a care-free, confident demeanor and we know she will make a loving, lifelong companion for you. Please be sure to set aside time for brushing and grooming, at least weekly, to keep Swan Lake's longer coat and mane in good condition. Ask for this sweetheart by name when you visit Nevada SPCA's new Lovebugs Room, which showcases rescued bunnies, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and other small animals for adoption.

I am seeking someone who will love me forever.

Update: The Great Gatsby was adopted on June 21st! The Great Gatsby is still a baby boy, but well on his way to developing into a charming, debonair adult. He is a Lionhead and Harlequin mix rabbit, neutered, about 8-10 months of age. The Great Gatsby was surrendered to us by his previous owner, who had purchased him at a pet store (presumably to be an "Easter bunny"). Like countless others sold for a quick buck as a holiday gimmick, he found himself in desperate need once the holiday passed. The Great Gatsby is friendly, cute as can be, and he has a gentle nature. He is one of 70 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for him by name.

I am a baby now, but will you still love me when I grow old?

Update: Simba was adopted on May 31st! Mistakenly thought of as a toy or a gimmick - "an Easter bunny" - baby Simba , like so many other rabbits, found himself homeless and in need shortly after the Easter holiday. He is a "kit" (a baby bunny), a Lionhead mix with beautiful hair and coloring. He is neutered and approximately 6 months of age. Simba loves to snuggle. He is outgoing and desires plenty of daily human contact. Please only consider him if you have plenty of time to spend with him each day. Simba is one of 70 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for him by name.

A rabbit's love, like mine, lasts a lifetime.

Siobah n charms and enchants with both her exotic looks and her gentle, engaging temperament. She is a Lionhead mix with regal beauty, spayed female, about 2 years of age. Siobahn needed us after she was found running loose and trying to survive on her own in a local neighborhood. Lionheads and Lionhead mix bunnies need regular brushing and grooming care, particularly in the mane around their faces. Siobahn is one of almost 70 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for her by name.

Maybe I require extra work, but I am worth it.

Update: Standish was adopted on August 28th! Standish charms everyone who sees and meets him. Sometimes, at first, they think he is a puppy or kitten, due to his soft shape and bouncy spirit. Instead, he is a young Lionhead rabbit, mixed with English Spot, approximately 18 months of age. Standish needed us for rescue when his owners decided they could not longer care for him properly. With his longer coat, his coat does require extra grooming. Please be sure to set aside at least an hour or more per week to fully comb him and attend to his hair. Standish is neutered and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please come meet him and more than 70 other spayed and neutered bunnies ready to find loving, forever homes.

Please always keep me safely indoors.

Update: Jeremiah was adopted on June 22nd! Jeremiah is a very friendly "kit" - baby bunny - under 5 months of age. He is neutered and now ready for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Rabbit & Guinea Pig Rescue Room. Jeremiah is a Lionhead & Lop mix with stunning gold coloring. He needs extra grooming care, particularly with his mane and around his face. Jeremiah and his mother and baby brothers were rescued from a yard they had wandered into. He and his brothers were so small and defenseless, and their mother so domesticated and ill-prepared for the outdoors, that they would have been easy prey. We require that all adopted rabbits live indoors only. Besides predators, the desert weather extremes are too dangerous for bunnies, plus they will get better care indoors close to their families. Please visit and meet Jeremiah and almost 70 other spayed/neutered and microchipped rabbits for adoption today.
