Lana is one of the six dogs rescued last month from unconscionable neglect at the hands of a suspected backyard or junkyard breeder. You may recall the other five, all of who have since been adopted into loving homes. But Lana was in the worst condition and needed more care before this big day -- her adoption debut -- could arrive. Both of Lana's back legs had been broken and healed improperly, splayed to almost 90 degrees outward. She learned to use them for walking, but they are forever locked in a flexed position, so her front legs do most of the work and her back legs waddle in a penguin-like manner. Lana is an angelic, gentle Toy Poodle mix, 4 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.
