Thanks to exceptional foster care, these three baby girl and three baby boys are well-socialized, playful, and happy-go-lucky in spirit. They are 3 months of age and spayed/neutered. You may remember their mother and sister. The babies were just newborns (with their eyes still closed) when we rescued Chrissy and her puppies from another shelter this summer. James , a precious Yorkie-Poo puppy, is ready to steal your heart and become a valued member of a stable, loving forever family.  He is 6 months of age, neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.  James was surrendered by his previous owner, who was not ready or capable of caring for a puppy, so he needs kind guidance to learn housetraining and other good behaviors.

James and Majesty, angelic babies debuting for adoption.

James Majesty These precious babies, brother James and sister Majesty , are tiny angels, both with loving and gentle natures. They are Chihuahuas, now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued their mother Lullaby, pictured below.  She was in labor and a deformed puppy inside of her had blocked her from giving birth.  Lullaby's previous owner was unable to provide medical care to save her life. We rushed Lullaby into a veterinary hospital for an emergency C-section.  The veterinarians were able to save mom (Lullaby) and two of her babies, who we named James and Majesty . Lullaby has since been spayed and adopted into a loving home.  Now its her puppies' turn to find owners who will cherish and adore them every day for the rest of their lives. Am I invisible?

All of us, and James too, are perplexed why visitors never ask to meet and engage this cheerful, zippy boy. One of our longest residents, James has watched thousands of dogs being adopted and he must wonder when his ship will come in. James is a good-looking mix of Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher.  He is neutered, about 8 years of age, and compatible with other dogs, especially dogs who are larger than he is. As an extra adoption benefit, he goes home with free comprehensive dog training! Please come meet this joyful little fellow and we think you will be amazed by his character and personality. These stellar portraits of James are courtesy of the wonderful people at Pet'ographique to help him get adopted into a forever home.

I am so proud of how well I am adjusting.

Update: James was adopted on December 30th! James sports a sunny nature that suits him beautifully. He is an attractive Pekingese, neutered male, about 4 years of age. We rescued James from another shelter and he had a very severe left eye injury that had hemorrhaged.  We asked a veterinary hospital to try and save his eye, but this was not possible and his eye was removed. James has been healing very well, physically and emotionally.  Living in the moment, full of joy for life, he never seemed to fret about all of the challenges. He is compatible with other friendly dogs and needs regular professional grooming care. Please come visit and ask to meet James by name.

Don't even get me started with the laser light!

Update: James was adopted on December 20th! James is a handsome kitten with a noble, almost leonine-like face. Life is a bowl of cherries for this boy, as he excels in playing and bonding with other energetic and friendly cats.  James debuts for adoption today.  He is neutered and about 9 months of age, a silver and brown tabby with snow-white coloring. He was rescued at night when found wandering alone near a busy street.  The outdoors are a thing of the past, as he looks forward from now on to the safety and protection of being strictly indoors. James provides non-stop entertainment.  When he gets a glimpse of the laser light sneaking toward him on the floor, it is Game On!  We're careful to avoid shining it in his eyes, of course, and he is determined to catch the red dot, eventually.
