Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

John watches people carefully to learn all he can.    He is an adorable baby boy, well-socialized in a foster home since his rescue, and terrific with other cats. John is 1 of 25 rescued kittens ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA! At the time of rescue, John was found alone in a family's backyard with no sign of his mother. Please kitten-proof your home for his safety.     Jack , another rescued kitten ready for adoption today, was also found alone and trying to fend for himself without his mother in sight.  We placed him in the same wonderful foster home with John and the boys were raised together.  Jack is also very playful and loving.  Please visit and ask for them by name.

Jack Jasper Jack and Jasper are inquisitive young brothers who relish finding and hiding seeds, toys, and treats.  They are just 6 months of age, Golden hamsters, ready for adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA.  Both are friendly with people and allow handling.  We rescued the boys (and 8 other hamsters and 55 more animals) from another shelter that asked for our help after they were seized from an animal center last week.  Please share the pictures of Jack and Jasper to help find them responsible, forever homes where they will be respected, appreciated, and cherished.

Amy Lee Jack Lesley Matt These four precious babies -- Amy Lee , Jack , Lesley , and Matt -- are debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Since their rescue, discovered in an abandoned box in a park, the siblings have been lovingly raised and socialized in a nurturing foster home.  They are now 3 months of age and spayed/neutered.  Amy Lee is a girl and the others are boys.  Please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship. Amy Lee is a social butterfly and delights in being held. Jack relishes belly rubs and cuddling. Lesley is fascinated with dogs and kids. Matt is sporty and eager to play ball.

Jack is a little, golden miracle and he triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He was found by kind Fire Department personnel after he had been hit by a car and they rushed him to us for emergency care.  Veterinarians were able to save Jack's life, but not his right front leg.  Jack has adjusted well to life on three legs.  The hospital staff adore him and say he is remarkably well-behaved and intelligent.  Based on his behaviors during recovery, we know he is good with dogs and most likely both housetrained and crate-trained.  Jack is 2 years young, a small and cute Terrier mix, and now neutered.  Please share his picture and help him find a wonderful, loving forever home where he will never be in danger again.

Jack loves to investigate, and he would love to become your very own Sherlock Holmes, exploring throughout your house (using baby gates to keep him away from electrical cords).  Jack is an adorable, petite English Spot mix bunny, neutered, 18 months young, ready for adoption today in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing Jack's personality in this brand new portrait.

Update: Jack was adopted on October 16th! Neighbors rescued Jack when his previous owners fled their home and left him behind. He is still a baby, a playful pup, sweet and friendly and full of curiosity . Jack is a dazzling mix of breeds, including Shetland Sheepdog.  He is neutered, 9 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. He enjoys other dogs and may do best with an active or semi-active lifestyle. Please remember to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.

Update 2: Manny was adopted on June 25th! Update: Jack and Moe were adopted on June 19th! Manny, Moe, & Jack are nicknamed " The Mischievous Puppies " due to their adventurous, curious natures. These brothers needed us when their previous owner just said he could not keep them any longer. Please be sure to puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. The Mischievous Puppies are Heinz 57s, perhaps with Shepherd & Retriever, expected to grow to medium or large size. They are neutered, 3-4 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. They enjoy other playful dogs and they will need lots of patience and good guidance from you to develop into well-balanced adults. The Mischievous Puppies can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship.

Update: Jack was adopted on March 20th! Adorable, with a calm nature, Jack charms and enchants in subtle, meaningful ways. He is a quite plump Shih-Tzu mix, neutered male, about 3 years young. Jack is well-behaved, being compatible with dogs and older children, plus housetrained and crate-trained. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for him and consult with your veterinarian about a safe, proper weight reduction plan for his health. Jack needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship. Jack debuts for adoption today.

Update 2: Joey & JoJo were adopted on August 27th! Update 1: Jack was adopted on August 26th! JoJo, Joey, & Jack are very gentle-hearted puppies who have adventurous spirits. The brothers are most likely Chihuahua & Terrier mixes and they will remain small in size. We rescued the boys when they were only 5 weeks of age. We placed them in a very experienced and caring foster home where they began to thrive physically and socially. JoJo, Joey, & Jack are used to being with other sweet and friendly dogs. They loved playing together in the large garden at the foster home. The brothers enjoy people very much too. Each loves to cuddle and give kisses when they are happy and relaxed. The boys can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. They hopefully have at least 15 good years of life ahead of them and they would love to spend their lives with others of their own kind for deep companionship and bonding.

Update: Jack was adopted on July 3rd! Jack is battling depression. He does not know that his owner died and he is confused by not being with her anymore. He wants someone to share his love with and, ideally, his new mom and/or dad will maintain a quiet, stable home. Jack is a loyal and attractive small-to-medium-size Heinz 57, most likely with Rat Terrier & Beagle, neutered male, approximately 7 years of age. He likes other calm dogs. Adopt him and make a lifetime commitment to him joining your family, and he will reward you with his whole heart.
