Iris adores people and appreciates every kind touch, word, and gesture.  She is a beautiful spirit, a lynx point Siamese mix youngster, 1 year of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  At the time of rescue Iris had massive trauma to her left eye (unknown cause). We rushed her to an emergency animal hospital and the veterinarians succeeded in saving her eye, which retains some vision (and the discoloration may continue subsiding or be permanent).  Please visit and ask for Iris by name.

Eloise and her kittens need a foster hero!

Image
Eloise , a sweet and gorgeous Snowshoe, and her two babies, need a foster home please.    If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren. Eloise was reportedly being exploited by a breeder for litter after litter of kittens to sell. Thankfully, that cycle has come to an end. She will soon be spayed and adopted into a loving forever home where she will be valued for her ability to love, not reproduce. The foster commitment for Eloise and her two daughters, Iris and Suzette , who are 4 weeks of age, is approximately 8 weeks. Please share Eloise's post to help. Thank you!

Iris desperately wants to believe in people.    But she still flinches when touched and fears getting hurt. We can only imagine the traumas she endured, likely as a 'breeding machine' because her body indicates she's given birth to numerous litters of puppies. Iris is a pretty Rottweiler, 5 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter.    Please share her post to help find a hero and adult-only home.

Lilly, mom Douglas, son Fleur, daughter Florian, son Iris, daughter Jacinto, son Magnolia, daughter Rose, daughter Violet, daughter Update: A ninth baby of Lilly's, a son named Aspen, was just captured this afternoon and reunited with his mom and siblings!  All await a foster hero. Original post: Lilly and her 8 babies need a loving foster home please! If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for DJ. Lilly and her babies were rescued yesterday afternoon. An officer found them in squalor and their previous owner was threatening to shoot them. They were missing meals and running loose, at risk of becoming prey to coyotes.  We're so thankful that all of them are here now at Nevada SPCA and we need to find a nurturing foster home where Lilly can continue to raise them (until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered). Lilly is a wonderful mom and sh...

Iris's plea for peace is heartbreaking knowing part of what she has endured.  Please help find her a calm and stable home for life where she will always feel loved and safe. Iris is a petite Chihuahua, 1 year of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We are sharing the following details to help tell Iris's story, not to shock or upset you.  A man found Iris and her lethargic newborn in a street earlier this summer.  Iris was not producing milk and, despite exhaustive efforts, her baby could not be revived.

Iris , a baby girl now beaming with hope and joy, offers a lifetime of puppy kisses and unconditional love in exchange for a stable forever home.  She is a delightful Toy Fox Terrier & Chihuahua mix puppy, 3 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Iris has made great progress in the short time she's been with us.  At the time of rescue she was "unwanted" and timid and being passed around from friend-to-friend.  We placed Iris in a kennel with a big sister dog for comfort and guidance, which worked beautifully in helping her feel welcome and safe.  Please visit and ask for Iris by name.
