Wonderful adoption update on Ernie (now Buddy)!

Thank you to Ernie's mom, Veronica, for sharing these great pictures: "Buddy has brought so much love and joy to my life and my mom's and brothers. I love him so much and can't imagine my life without him. He truly is a part of the family! Everybody loves him and thinks he is so cute!"

Ernie kisses the chins of people who are kind and sweet to him.  He is a devoted young boy, a Heinz 57 with Yellow Labrador Retriever and other breeds, 1 year of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Ernie was found abandoned, tied to a post in a parking lot.  He deserves so much better.

Be patient with us, we're working hard to understand people.

Ernie Fernando Garth Herman These young boys -- Ernie , Fernando , Garth , and Herman -- are 4 of the 10 Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes we recently rescued from a suspected backyard breeder.  All are gentle and timid and need much more socialization with people.  Ernie , Fernando , and Garth are junior puppies, just 9 months of age.  Herman is approximately 18 months.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. The boys are neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please be very patient with them and help them realize their full loving potential.

We are healed and our futures are bright.

Update: Ernie, Tessa, and Todo were all adopted on or before May 27th! Tessa, and her brothers Ernie and Todo (on each side of her), are "The Blue Bully Puppies" and they are full of personality. They are as comical as they are precious, and as zany as they are adorable. They are also survivors. As newborns, they were in a home but contracted the deadly parvo virus. Their owner refused emergency medical care. We rescued them, but they were extremely ill, and some of their brothers and sisters perished. After extensive medical care, these three made a full recovery. Today, they debut in Adoptions at Nevada SPCA. They are approximately 3 months of age. They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. They have been through so much already, so remaining together will provide them additional love and comfort, and may help them adapt to a new home that much easier.
