Dexter

Image
Dexter , a radiant youngster with a cheerful spirit, offers lifelong unconditional devotion in exchange for a stable, forever home.  He is a good-looking German Shepherd, 1 year of age, neutered boy, housetrained & crate-trained, good with cats & dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Dexter was surrendered to us by his previous owner who cited her busy work schedule.

I love too much? No, the problem was I didn't understand my role.

Dexter gives those he loves all of his loyalty.  He is a young, slender, and radiant German Shepherd, about 18 months of age, a neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  German Shepherd knowledge is needed for his adoption. Dexter is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained and eager to please.  He lost his home reportedly because he was 'too protective' of the family's children.  Dexter needs an experienced home where he understands his "job" is to be a loving companion & family member, not a guard dog.

Calvin & Dexter, young Scottish Terrier mix brothers for adoption.

Calvin & Dexter are jolly, attractive, well-behaved young brothers debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The boys are Scottish Terrier mixes, 2 years of age, neutered, housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with dogs and mature kids. Calvin & Dexter , like the vast majority of rescued animals, did nothing wrong to become homeless.  In this case, their previous owner said she did not have time for them. Please help us find Calvin & Dexter a wonderful, responsible, loving, forever home.  They are strongly bonded and need to remain together.

Maybe there is a hero for me?

Dexter has the enthusiasm and jazzy spirit of a puppy, but he is actually 10 years of age and completely blind. Dexter is a Jack Russell Terrier, neutered, housetrained, good with cats and dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Dexter relishes playing with other dogs and greets you warmly every time you return.  He gets around very well and confidently without his sight. Please help Dexter find someone special for his twilight years.

Can I please be yours forever?

Update: Dexter was adopted on September 8th! Dexter is not to be denied your attention. He may cry if you ignore him or steal a kiss of gratitude when he gets close to your face. Dexter is a radiant, affectionate boy and he debuts for adoption today. He is a Jack Russell Terrier mix with striking tri-coloring. He is neutered and about 3 years of age. Dexter loves people and other dogs. This social boy does not like being alone, so we believe he will do best in a home with another dog and with owners who are frequently home. We rescued him from another shelter.

I am a marvelous boy, but nobody ever asks to meet me.

Update: Dexter was adopted on October 24th! Since his rescue from another shelter this past summer, Dexter has watched more than a thousand other dogs get adopted to new, loving forever homes. Sadly, during these months we cannot recall a single person, couple, or family ever wanting to meet with him. But it is a big mistake to overlook Dexter . He is well-behaved and eager to please, especially enjoying walks on a leash and playtime in the courtyard. Dexter is also very attractive, sporting cream & white coloring and a very pleasant face. He is a Siberian Husky mix, neutered, and approximately 9 years of age. Perhaps his age is what causes visitors to turn away, but he is certainly young at heart and we expect him to have years of unconditional love left to share with the person or couple who finally notices that Dexter is a treasure.
