Craig and 33 more rescued motherless kittens need loving foster homes please! In addition, a pregnant cat and a mother cat with 1-day-old babies need nurturing foster care too. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren. Craig and his siblings were found at an apartment complex. They are about 6 weeks of age and eating on their own. The foster commitment for them would be approximately 10 weeks.

Volunteers with passion for animal rescue & rehabilitation work every day to comfort confused animals and give them faith in humans.  Sometimes their magic works immediately.  Just days ago Craig arrived from another shelter that asked for our help because he was very timid.  Craig is a cream Chihuahua, 1 year of age, a neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Craig's is shining and his spirits are soaring thanks to the volunteers who have proven to him that humans can be quite kind.

Craig was getting his picture taken this morning when he suddenly saw one of his favorite volunteers and his eyes lit up, beaming with joy.  Craig is often smiling here, perhaps because it's likely the first time he has had regular meals and treats, or been spoken to kindly.  His past is unknown, except that he was dumped outside a veterinary clinic in poor condition.  Craig is now thriving, eating premium food, bursting with hope and anticipation for his bright future.  He is an athletic Bully mix with beautiful mocha coloring, 2 years young, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Update: Craig was adopted on July 23rd! Trust is something very special with Craig . And it must be earned. While he is timid with new people and new situations, due to past abuse, he is cheery and sweet with those he knows and believes in. We rescued Craig from another shelter, so we do not know who previously hurt him. He revels in being with other dogs and may do best with his continued emotional recovery if there is another dog in the home for lifelong companionship. Craig is a Miniature Poodle mix, neutered male, approximately 3 years young. He will need regular grooming care, so please budget extra. He is one of almost two dozen dogs debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
