Finn

Image
Finn , a super cute junior puppy, needs someone to love.    He is a Corgi & Longhair Chihuahua mix, neutered boy, 10 months of age, good with other dogs, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Finn was at another shelter that asked for our help due to an allegation by his previous owner that he is protective of his toys. We have not witnessed any protective behaviors from him in relation to food or toys or anything else. But to err on the safe side an experienced owner is needed who will ensure he is given kind guidance to learn good, well-adjusted behaviors.

Emily, a lovely Corgi, finds herself homeless at 12 years of age.

This 12-year old sweetheart is yet another victim of the economy and foreclosure cri sis.  Her previous owner relocated and believed she could no longer keep Emily .  Emily is an easy-going Corgi mix, spayed, housetrained, good with other small and calm dogs. She loves to be scratched gently behind her cute ears.  Please help us find Emily a loving, forever home. She is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA ( www.nevadaspca.org ).

I love belly rubs and sleeping at the foot of the bed.

Panda won our hearts instantly.  She beams with a friendly, super lovable glow. She is a beautiful Corgi mix, still a puppy at approximately 8 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today. Besides enjoying other dogs, she is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and compatible with kind children. Panda also enthusiastically plays with toys and likes short car rides. She needed us because her previous owner said she had too many dogs. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection.

We are tremendously fun!

Tiger & Ninja Update: Tiger & Ninja were adopted on December 21st! Zany and outgoing, this strongly bonded brother and sister team has enormous good cheer to bless you with for the rest of their lives. Tiger & Ninja are reportedly Corgi & Chihuahua mixes, a unique combination we cannot remember seeing before.  They are more Chihuahua in overall size, but they have no tails and they have longer, stockier bodies from their Corgi side.  They are boy and girl, spayed/neutered, and just a year of age. They are good with other friendly dogs and reportedly housetrained and fine with mature kids. Tiger & Ninja needed us when their previous owner moved out of the country. They debut for adoption today.

We are smaller than the furniture, so why did we get left behind?

Update: Faleen and Franco were adopted on October 9th! Faleen and Franco , sister and brother, needed us when their previous owner moved away without them.  Fortunately, they were found by a caring neighbor before harm came their way. These bouncy, playful, sweetheart babies are now spayed/neutered and debut for adoption today.  They are reportedly Corgi and Chihuahua mixes and approximately 3 months of age. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. Faleen and Franco are terrific together, and while we would love them to be adopted together for lifelong companionship, they can be adopted separately.

Responsible ownership means keeping us safe and protected.

Update 3: Yucca was adopted on July 28th! Update 2: Yucca remains available for adoption. Agave was adopted on July 26th! Update: Agave and Yucca remain available for adoption. Their 4 siblings were adopted on July 24th! At the time of rescue these 6 babies were in dangerous heat distress, suffering in a local backyard. Fortunately, all were successfully cooled down and survived. We nicknamed them " The Cactus Crew Puppies ". They are now spayed/neutered, 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. Pictured here are sisters Sequoia & Agave . You can see their sister Ocotillo and brothers Barrel, Joshua, and Yucca on Nevada SPCA's main web site at www.nevadaspca.org . It is too soon to make a strong guess on their breed make-ups. But we suspect they may have Beagle and Corgi in them, perhaps growing to just medium size. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. We hope you will consider adopting a pair for lifelong l...

Adopt me and I will shower you with a lifetime of gratitude.

Update: Louise was adopted on August 28th! Louise is a tiny Corgi rescued after being abandoned on the streets. She was in poor condition, and while we could save her life, her left eye had long since died and degenerated. Louise is full of great cheer though, happy to be alive and looking forward to a loving forever home. She is spayed, about 4 years of age, and good with other friendly dogs. While Louise's eye does not need to be removed at this time, except perhaps for cosmetic reasons, please monitor it for any changes and consult your veterinarian for guidance. Please visit and spend time with this spectacular little lady.

Please snuggle with me.

Update: Quinn was adopted on October 1st! As adorable as they come, Quinn is a affectionate puppy enjoys cuddling. He is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, neutered, about 5 months of age. He needed us for rescue when his owner lost her job. Quinn is reportedly good with kind, older children. We know he is also very good-natured with other friendly dogs. While he is crate-trained, he reportedly is only partially housetrained, so a steady routine (and plenty of patience) is needed to help him complete housetraining. Quinn's ideal adopter will have knowledge about, or experience with, the Corgi breed.

My sister and I never want be abandoned again.

Update: Jillian & Gazelle were adopted on September 19th! Jillian (pictured here) & Gazelle are soul-mates whose bond grew ever stronger as they survived abandonment and extreme hunger for many weeks in the backyard of a foreclosed home. The girls are gorgeous, young Welsh Corgis, 1 to 2 years of age. They are now spayed and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Jillian & Gazelle are sweethearts with endearing personalities. But new people and new situations make them anxious, due to lack of socialization, and they are not yet even leash-trained. A patient, experienced owner will help them build confidence and continue their progress.

Life is chock full of wonder and amazement, so let's start living and exploring together.

Update: Pepper was adopted on September 19th! Pepper is one of the most enthusiastic, and sometimes mischievous, little youngsters we have rescued in quite a while. He has a bouncy outlook on life. He is most likely a Welsh Corgi mix, tri-color, neutered, and approximately one year of age. He is good with other dogs and especially enjoys those who will play with him. Pepper will do best with a person, couple, or family with an active (or at least semi-active) lifestyle. He needed us when he ran out of time at another shelter. Pepper debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Age is just a number.

Marilyn is young at heart. This 12 year-old super sweetheart has an angelic face, a heart-melting smile, and an affectionate temperament. Marilyn is a Corgi mix. She is spayed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on major vaccinations, and ready for adoption today. She is housetrained and compatible with cats and dogs. Marilyn needs an adult-only home. Children make her very anxious, perhaps due to past taunting or teasing or accidental harm from a child. She lost her home because of her wariness of children. Please see more of this heavenly girl on her YouTube video. Marilyn is a small girl with a giant world of unconditional love to share with the person or couple who opens their hearts and home to her.
