Foster heroes needed for 8 rescued motherless kittens!

Image
Jerry Chris Brandon Jerry , Chris , and Brandon are 3 of the 8 rescued motherless kittens who need foster homes until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered.  Please visit Nevada SPCA in person before 5pm and ask for Lonnie if you can help. Jerry was witnessed in the street being run over by a car.  We rushed him to a veterinary hospital.  Though in severe shock from the trauma, miraculously, x-rays showed no bones had been broken and his injuries were limited to bruising across his body. Chris and Brandon were heard crying for help under a bush in someone's backyard, with no sign of their mother. More about foster parenting. Thank you for helping us reach heroes by sharing the animals' pictures and stories!

Puppies rescued during the extreme Vegas heatwave now ready for adoption.

Ava Becky Chris Deanna At the time of rescue during the extreme Vegas heatwave earlier this month, these four angels were in heat distress and they had been abandoned by their previous owners who moved away without them. All were immediately cooled and monitored carefully, and fortunately, all made full recoveries. The puppies are now spayed/neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Chris is a boy and his three sisters are Ava , Becky , and Deanna .  They are Heinz 57s, adorable blends of many breeds, (perhaps Dachshund, Beagle, but it's really too soon to make a good guess), expected to grow at most to medium size. They are affectionate and playful and terrific together.  Please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship. Also, please be sure to puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

Chris is blessed with irresistible charm.

It only takes one look at Chris to see that he is full of character! A gentle giant, he rolls over for belly rubs and leans his head up into your hand for petting. Chris is an orange & white shorthair, 2 years young, now neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue he was covered in tar on his face, back, feet, and tail, and had gotten sick trying to lick it off. Chris made a full recovery and he is now ready to join a loving, forever home where he will live always safely indoors.
