Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Glory is so adorable it looks like we painted her.  But she is a real girl with magical brown eyes and an exceptionally loving nature.  Glory is a Chinese Crested Powder Puff mix, 3 years young, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  A gentle home is ideal and she needs regular professional grooming.  We rescued Glory from another shelter that ran out of space.

Wolfgang is a loving, regal pup with a lyrical personality. He is a Chinese Crested, neutered boy, 11 months of age.  Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. Wolfgang is compatible with most dogs and he is reportedly housetrained. Chinese Crested breed knowledge is required so he can get proper skin care.   (Most of his body is hairless.) At the time of rescue from another shelter, Wolfgang had been exposed to the dreaded parvo disease.  Thanks to your donations , we were able to give him the advanced medical care necessary to save his life, and Wolfgang made a full, valiant recovery.  Thank you to all of you who support animal rescue and adoption.

Update: Bridget was adopted on July 27th! We rescued Bridget from another shelter that had run out of room to keep her. She is an angelic puppy, adorable and sweet. Bridget is a Toy mix, perhaps with Chinese Crested Powder Puff. She is spayed and about 6 months of age. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Bridget is fond of other friendly dogs and needs regular brushing and grooming care. Bridget debuts for adoption today.

Update: Willy was adopted on November 27th! Willy is beginning to really shine. We have watched a shy, reserved little fellow bloom into a happy, playful boy. Willy is a Chinese Crested Dog, neutered, and reportedly 6 years of age. He enjoys other dogs very much. He may do best with another dog (or dogs) in his new home. Chinese Crested Dog knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred for his adoption. His skin needs continuing care and he requires softer food due to losing several teeth. Willy is reportedly crate-trained, but he may need your patience and guidance (and steady routine) in order to fully complete housetraining. Please visit and ask for this sweetheart by name at Nevada SPCA.

Update: Lolo was adopted on August 29th! Lolo is an exceptionally affectionate youngster. The staff say he is a complete "lovebug" and they just want to hold him and snuggle with him as often as they can. He is shy with new people and new situations. We rescued him from another shelter, so we do not know much about his background. Lolo is a Chinese Crested mix, neutered male, approximately 2 years of age. He enjoys other dogs very much. If you have a dog who needs a new brother, please bring him or her to our headquarters and we can introduce the pair in the patio or courtyard. Lolo needs regular grooming and brushing, so please plan accordingly. He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. A gentle home is ideal for him.

Update: Vanilla Puff was adopted on July 31st! Vanilla Puff is tender-hearted and she has a gentle personality. She is most likely a "Powder Puff" -- a Chinese Crested & Poodle mix. She is spayed and approximately 8 months young. Vanilla Puff is healing from neglect. Also, she had been exposed to the dreaded, deadly parvo virus. So, we had extensive care provided to her at a veterinary hospital and she made a full recovery. She is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Vanilla Puff enjoys other dogs and she needs regular grooming care. Knowledge of the Chinese Crested breed is preferred (due to the thin hair on her body and grooming needs).
