Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Blossom does not yet understand that she is safe. Her eyes reveal such worry and she is desperate for every kind word and touch. Blossom is a gentle young girl, 1 year of age, a Terrier & Toy mix with golden eyes, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    She enjoys being around other dogs.    Blossom was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.

Blossom Hickory Ponderosa Three more friendly, rescued ferrets -- Blossom , Hickory , and Ponderosa -- are ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Each is 6 years of age, spayed/neutered, and compatible with cats and ferrets.  Blossom , a mischievous girl, loves to explore rooms.  Hickory is easy-going and prefers watching others while he lounges gracefully.  Ponderosa is playful and young-at-heart.  We rescued them from another shelter that asked for our help after they were seized from an animal center last week.  Please share their pictures to help find them responsible, loving forever homes.

Blossom, debuting for adoption on July 31 Blossom, minutes after her rescue on July 27 A man found this petite, horrifically matted dog in Las Vegas near the I-95 freeway.  He assumed she was diseased, could barely tell her back from her front, and brought her to us for emergency care. Not only did her knotted coat block her eyesight, but she had similar obstacles to eating and going to the bathroom.  It would have been difficult for her to have survived much longer. One of our volunteers, Marlene, scooped her up and held her close despite all of the dirt and insects, and told her "You are safe now" and " Blossom is your new name". Now spayed and groomed, Blossom is a tiny, adorable angel, unrecognizable from the day of her rescue.  She is a Maltese, 2 years of age, triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Blossom loves being held and reassured.  She soaks up all of the compliments and affection, and then asks for much more. She ...

Update: Blossom was adopted on April 5th! Without any grace or compassion, a woman just opened our lobby door, tossed this tiny girl inside, and then sped away in her car. Besides being unnecessary and cruel, it deprived us of crucial background information needed to attend to her needs and find her a loving home. We named her Blossom . She was in the late stages of pregnancy and she was wobbly on her feet. We rushed her into medical care. She was diagnosed with neurological damage. Besides the wobbliness, this is exhibited in her occasional shaking. She gave birth to one puppy -- "Lil' Josie" -- who is in foster care. Blossom is now spayed and debuting for adoption. She enjoys other sweet and friendly dogs. Blossom needs a hero who will continue to show her the better side of human nature.
