Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Bella Ciao Bella and Ciao are junior puppies, Cocker Spaniels, about 7 months of age, spayed/neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Both are housetrained, crate-trained, and good with other dogs.  The siblings appear to have been well-cared for, but became homeless due to their previous owner's declining health.  Both have "natural eyeliner" facial coloration, with Ciao having pink around one eye and black around the other.  Ciao gets grumpy when nervous and requires an experienced, adult-only home.

Mario, Lilly, Bella, Willy Mario loves playing fetch. Lilly enjoys running and cuddling. Bella is especially playful and adores belly rubs. Willy likes taking naps on laps. These four tiny baby angels -- Mario , Lilly , Bella , and Willy -- debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. On an early November morning, they were found by a couple who spotted a cardboard box under a bush. The babies were just weeks old and very cold and without their mother. They have been raised in loving foster care ever since. Bella and Lilly are girls. Mario and Willy are boys. It appears they are Chihuahuas or Chihuahua mixes. The puppies are now 3 months of age and spayed/neutered. All four are very gentle and affectionate. Please consider adopting a pair for lifetime companionship.

Melissa Bella Julie Bella , Julie , and Melissa are precious, lovable baby sisters who survived heartbreaking trauma and they are now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue they were found in a person's yard trying to nurse on their deceased mother.  We placed them in loving foster homes for nurturing care and they have been wonderfully socialized with cats and dogs.  All are affectionate and playful.  The girls are 3 months of age and spayed.  Please help find them forever homes where they will always be indoors and cherished as valued members of their families.

Bella , an angelic Maltese, is delighted to have her fortunes reversed and she's enjoying all of her care and new attention.  She is 9 years of age, spayed, and terrific with sweet people and dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Bella was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her severely neglected condition.  Special thanks to Hair of the Dog Spa for her beautiful grooming.

Bella and son, Bear, and daughter, Tres Tres (above), Bear and Bella Bear Bella Tres Tres, Bella, Bear Bella , and her son, Bear , and daughter, Tres , are a vibrant trio with shining spirits. They get around remarkably well, each relying on the other, and we often find them sitting in a clover-shape with their hind ends touching. They even play ball, if tossed around a baby pool so they can hear the splashes. All three are attractive Australian Cattle Dogs and spayed/neutered.  Bella is about 7 years of age, while Bear and Tres are 5 years of age. Their bond is magical, so despite the difficulty of a triple adoption, we believe that adopting them together is very important. Bella Bonita Guapa Linda These four beautiful baby girls were found outdoors, alone, with their mom nowhere in sight. We placed them in a loving foster home where they have been raised and socialized (with cats and a small dog) and showered with affection.  The girls -- Bella , Bonita , Guapa , and Linda -- are now well-adjusted, about 4 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Here is personality information on the girls, as related by their foster family: Bella loves to be pampered.  She will cry and fuss if things just aren't right and she needs more attention. Bonita is inquisitive and likes to follow you around from room-to-room.  She may especially do best in a home with another cat. Guapa is exceptionally loving and gives you nose kisses. Bella can't see you, but when you touch her and speak sweetly her face lights up and she shuffles close to you for cuddling.  She is eager to please and will even walk beside you on leash, gingerly, trusting that you will take caution to keep her from running into walls and other dangers.  If you have stairs or a pool, please be sure access is gated for her safety.  Bella is an affectionate Labrador Retriever, almost 9 years of age, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued her from another shelter.  Please help us find a hero for Bella .

Bella is a gorgeous, loyal, athletic, and intelligent young girl debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is a German Shepherd, 2 years of age, housetrained, and crate-trained, and she likes playing fetch and chewing on her kong toy.  Bella knows some training commands, but professional dog training is now a necessity.  Something went awry in her previous home and she reportedly began to view the mom as competition for getting the attention of the dad and son for herself.  There were no bites or attacks.  Bella requires a very experienced, adult-only home and training to help her learn her proper role in the family.  Please help us find Bella a hero.

Update: Bella was adopted on December 18th! Fortunately, Bella is now safe at Nevada SPCA, in good hands until she finds a forever home. But this baby girl could easily have found herself in a danger situation when her previous owner peddled her off on one of those anonymous web sites where people give away or sell old furniture and other items. Horrified that she was being treated like property, a kind woman took her and brought her to us to be spayed and adopted into a loving home. We love this little doll!  She wiggles with joy and anticipation when she greets you. Bella is most likely a Poodle and Wheaton Terrier mix.  She is spayed and about 3-4 months of age.  She may grow to medium size. Bella loves playing with other friendly dogs.  She will need your patience and good guidance to complete housetraining.  Also, please plan on regular grooming care and careful puppy-proofing of your home and yard.

Update: Bella was adopted on December 11th! Bella is a tender-hearted young girl with a cheery disposition. She is a beautiful Miniature Poodle mix, spayed, just a year of age, debuting for adoption today. Bella needed us when a family member in her previous home was found to be allergic to her. Besides getting along very well with dogs, she is reportedly housetrained and fine with cats too. Please plan on regular professional grooming care to keep her looking and feeling like a million bucks. Bella is shy initially with strangers, so a gentle home is best for her.

Update: Bella was adopted on October 9th! Bella is a gorgeous 5-month old kitten with captivating blue eyes, a Snowshoe & Siamese mix, spayed, and awaiting a forever home. She is in a loving foster home and comes each Saturday to Nevada SPCA's headquarters in the hope of being adopted. At the time of rescue, Bella was in poor condition, riddled with infections and problems stemming from malnutrition and lack of care.  We had treatments provided for her, along with premium food, and she recovered beautifully. Bella craves gentle attention from people and she is compatible with other cats. Like all cats, she needs an indoor-only home for her safety and protection. Bella is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats and kittens for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please ask for her by name.

Update: Charlie and Coco were adopted together on October 7th! Charlie and Coco , brother and sister, are playful, adorable, super cute puppies debuting for adoption today. They are Dachshund mixes with very expressive eyes and ears, spayed/neutered, approximately 4 months of age. We rescued these two babies and their mother, Bella , a Dachshund, in August, when their previous owner could no longer afford to keep them. Bella , pictured at the bottom of this post, was spayed and taken to the 4th Annual Family, Fur, and Fun Festival in Mountain's Edge last Saturday, where she was adopted to a very nice family. Now it's Charlie and Coco's turn to get adopted.  Both have gentle spirits and show affection to people with a tender touch. Update: Bella was adopted on October 9th! Watching Bella emerge from her emotional shell is a beautiful thing to see. Her progress is slow, but steady, and will need to continue in her new home. We do not have the details, but someone wounded her soul when they abused her innocence and trust.  New people may terrify her because she is unsure of their intentions. Bella is a Shepherd mix, medium-size, spayed, about 10 months of age.  She debuts for adoption today. She is good with other dogs and reportedly housetrained.  A gentle home is best for her. Please adopt Bella and show her the better side of human nature from now on.  She has tremendous loving potential.

Update: Bella was adopted on November 20th! It is ironic that humans are considered the "higher beings" when dogs are the ones most able to give the ultimate gift -- unconditional love. Bella , a well-behaved, jolly girl who gives kisses, lost her home due to the following excuse: "too large for house". But on the bright side, this is Bella's opportunity to find a committed, proper new home where her love will never be taken for granted again. Bella is a plump Beagle mix, spayed, about 6 years of age and very young at heart. Besides being good with other dogs, she is reportedly housetrained. Please feed her canine food (instead of human food) to help her trim off some weight. Bella debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Update: Bella was adopted on May 28th! Baby Bella needed us when her previous owner moved away. She is a gentle, loving puppy with a heart of gold, sensitive and shy with strangers. Bella is reportedly a Malti-Poo (Maltese & Poodle mix). She is spayed, about 6 months young, and debuting for adoption today. She enjoys other friendly dogs and kind children. She is reportedly 90% housetrained and she needs regular grooming care (so please budget extra accordingly). Bella will do best in a quieter home. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for her by name.

Update: Bella was adopted on February 10th! Bella needed us when her owner was put in a rest home. She is a very sensitive youngster and this sudden change has been overwhelming to her. Yet while she may be meek and timid with new people and in new situations, she blossoms warmly with those she knows and trusts. A gentle home is best for her. Bella is a darling Chihuahua mix, spayed, and approximately 2 years young. She enjoys other sweet dogs. Please visit and ask for Bella by name. She debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA today.
