Rescued and needing a foster home please! Beauty , just 7 or 8 weeks old, was found abandoned. The person(s) had tied her to a stop sign. Beauty is a gentle, affectionate baby girl, and compatible with other dogs. The foster commitment would be for approximately 4-6 weeks please (until she is old enough to be spayed). At the time of rescue (from the streets) Emily was so depressed we feared her health would decline if we could not get her spirits up and get her eating heartily.  Staff and volunteers showered her with attention and she perked up and found little joys throughout the day. For example, Emily likes napping under her blanket, but she will always peek out if she hears us coming to be sure to not miss a kind word or a scratch behind an ear or a special extra treat.  Emily is a beautiful young grey tabby & white shorthair with magical eyes, 3 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Update: Beauty was adopted on January 5th! This little angel was surrendered to us, terrified and confused why she was losing her home.  (Her previous owner said he had "too many dogs".) The trauma resulted in her giving birth prematurely, by at least two weeks, to four puppies.  (Miraculously though, thanks to intensive care in a foster home, two of the babies are still alive and thriving.) Beauty is a sensitive young Teacup Chihuahua, about 3 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today. According to her foster mom, she is housetrained, loves to sleep under the covers with you, and she is picky about which dogs she tolerates. Beauty seems to bond very strongly with one person, or perhaps a couple, and a gentle home is best suited for her.

Update: Beauty was adopted on October 30th! We believe Beauty is on the verge of a magnificent breakthrough.  She yearns and aches to trust people, but reserves herself so that she does not get hurt again. She is a stunning young German Shepherd.  She is spayed, about 2-3 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. We do not know much about Beauty's background or what she endured.  At the time of rescue we were only told that her previous owner had become severely ill. Beauty may be best as the only dog in the home. Known for their exceptional intelligence, German Shepherds need experienced owners knowledgeable about their breed and basic dog training. Please ask for Beauty by name and spend time with her in our adoption courtyard.
