Kingston , a youngster recovering from a violent home when he was a puppy, devotes himself deeply to those he trusts.  He is an especially attractive American Bulldog mix, 1 year of age and neutered, good with other large dogs, housetrained, and debuting for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Kingston fears strangers and worries they want to hurt him or the people he adores.  An experienced home can help him continue to understand that he is no longer ever in danger.

Ikaika ("strong spirit") is a golden-eyed boy with a happy disposition. He wants to bless someone wonderful with his lifelong unconditional devotion. Ikaika can open gates, doors, and windows without much difficulty. He is very smart and understands how latches can easily be opened. So a very secure home and yard is vital for his safety. Ikaika is an American Bulldog mix, 4 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He needs a one-dog household. We believe he has the temperament to be exceptional with mature kids.

Eckhart is a jolly, loyal, 3-legged boy asking for a forever home. Eckhart is an American Bulldog & Bully mix, 7 years of age and neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He needs a home where he is the only animal.  He cannot be around small dogs or other small animals at any time.   ( Eckhart's right leg appears to have been amputated years ago, for reasons unknown.)

Pete , his wounds now healed, is ready to let the world know what a happy and loving boy he can be! Pete is a jovial youngster with a terrific smile, an American Bulldog & Bully mix, 1 year of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He was found injured on the streets with wounds consistent from dog or coyote bites.    We believe Pete is crate-trained and may be compatible with some dogs.

Snoopy , 12, is housetrained and good with cats and dogs.  He is distraught at the moment, confused about becoming homeless after all of these years (when his previous owner moved into a home with breed restrictions).  Snoopy's favorite things include leisurely walks and sitting at your side on the couch while reading or watching TV.  He is a Bully & American Bulldog mix with bright golden eyes, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Slevin hopes his new owner will love getting licks and kisses! He expresses his gratitude for kindness with great affection and joy. Slevin is an American Bulldog mix, 4 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is wonderfully friendly and we believe he has the temperament to be exceptional with mature kids. Slevin may be fine with larger dogs (unconfirmed), but cannot be around small animals. We rescued him from another shelter and his background is mostly unknown, except that a police officer confiscated him from his previous home. Slevin deserves to know what a very loving home feels like.

Precious is a devoted, well-behaved girl who needs someone to love.  She is a Boxer mix, perhaps with American Bulldog, with beautiful fawn brindle coloration, about 4 years of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Precious is good with kids and dogs, housetrained, and fascinated by her toys.  She needed us due to her previous owner's financial hardship.

Ranger is ready to believe in people again and just asks for patience and tenderness.  If you kneel down, he will gently approach you and accept your kindness and petting.  Ranger is 18 months young, a neutered boy, a very attractive American Bulldog & Bully mix, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued him from another shelter.  Ranger had old and fresh head wounds -- whether from human violence, canine attacks, or other causes is unknown -- but it's clear he had been enduring ongoing trauma.  Ranger needs to just see the best of human nature and human responsibility from now on.

Thor, 9:45am, "Am I going to be okay?  Is anyone going to hurt me?" Thor, 9:48am, "You're taking my picture and a smile will help me find a loving home?" Thor, 9:49am, "How's this?" Thor, 9:50am, "Here's my biggest smile!" We want to share with you the awakening of a spirit -- Thor's spirit -- in just the five minutes he spent with us getting his portrait this morning. Thor needed us when his previous owner went into hospice and passed away. Thor is a snow-white American Bulldog mix, about 4 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. His world has been turned upside-down and he's no longer sure where he belongs.  That overwhelming feeling of being lost, adrift from where he expected to be, is almost universal with rescued animals.  One of our most important roles at Nevada SPCA is assuring Thor and others they are indeed safe and can begin to hope. Cameron has human-like eyes, pleading to make a connection, and he is baffled why he was abandoned on evicted property and then taken to another shelter.  We rescued this sweet young boy and promised him that brighter days are ahead.  Cameron debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  All of the staff and volunteers spending time with him comment on his immense charm.  Cameron is 2 years of age, a blend of American Bulldog and other Bully breeds, approximately 50 pounds, neutered, and very affectionate with people. 

Lilly, on the adoption patio with Lara We wish these pictures could do Lilly justice.  She has hypnotic eyes and the most interesting blue merle & white coloring.  But more important than her appearance is how agreeable and fun-loving she is, so happy to accompany us and play ball and share her bright spirit.  Lilly is an American Bulldog & Bully mix, 3 years young, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Lilly from another shelter to treat her ear infection (she is now healed).  Special thanks to a group of animal rescuers who offered to pay her rescue fee.  Please help us find Lilly the best of homes so she is never homeless, hungry, or lonely again.
