Many of you may remember Alexis in January when she was pregnant at the time of rescue. Alexis mothered her babies with utmost devotion. In her foster home, when she needed to use the bathroom, she would sprint outdoors and then dash back inside as quickly as she could to be with her puppies. Alexis is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . She is a petite sweetheart, a Chihuahua, 3 years of age, and good with other dogs. (Her babies will remain in foster care for a short time longer awaiting spay/neuter surgeries.) Alexis, January 2017

Alexis and Chantal, pregnant young girls needing foster heroes.

Alexis Chantal These two pregnant young girls -- Chantal and Alexis -- were captured running on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership. Both are expected to give birth soon (within the next 10 days). Please share their pictures to help find foster heroes.    They need peaceful, comfortable home environments where they can birth and raise their babies. If you can foster, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Joellyn. Chantal and Alexis are timid, but warm to gentle and soft-spoken people. Each is approximately 2 years of age.

A quiet life is a good life for me.

Update: Alexis was adopted on January 23rd! Yes, she has challenges, but the miracle for Alexis is that she is now free from the demeaning, cold existence of a puppy mill. And her future is about to become full of love. She debuts for adoption today and anxiously awaits her first-ever loving home. Alexis is a Maltese, about 5 years of age. She is now spayed and ready for adoption. She is a petite girl, but plenty vocal if you dare try to ignore her. She cherishes your attention and reassurances. Alexis may do best with another dog in the home to help her adjust to living indoors as a member of the family. Please also be sure to plan on regular professional grooming for her. Besides the puppy mill past, Alexis is living with a grade 4 (of 6) heart murmur and requires medication for this the rest of her life. She needs a calm lifestyle routine and please consult your veterinarian for further guidance. Alexis is on the verge of a great awakening for a loving future. Please visit ...
