Love us forever, never betray our trust.

These six adorable babies -- Roland, Liam, Gwen, Penelope, Michelle, and Oscar -- debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

They are good-natured, playful puppies, now 3 months of age and spayed/neutered.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

At the time of rescue they were newborns, discovered without their mother. Since then they have been wonderfully raised and socialized in a loving foster home.

We believe they are a blend of Labrador Retriever and other Sporting breeds, likely to grow to large size.

Please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship.

Antonio is a sensitive youngster yearning for stability and peace-of-mind.

He is a Yorkshire Terrier & Silky Terrier mix, 3 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Antonio is good with other dogs and best suited for a home with a big sister or brother dog.

He was surrendered by his previous owner due to separation anxiety.  Antonio fears every goodbye is forever.

There is no instant fix for separation anxiety, but he will improve with time and a very steady lifestyle routine he can always count on (plus there are some other things we can discuss with you that may be helpful, including thundershirts).

Please help find a hero for Antonio, someone who will never fail him.

Cora likes to sit quietly at your side, resting her head on your lap.  Constant touching helps her feel connected.

Cora was rescued from a suspected backyard breeder.  She had three newborns, just 10 days old.  Cora has been raising her babies ever since in a nurturing foster home.

She is now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Her babies will be ready for adoption in the weeks to come.

Cora, a Chihuahua, 5 years of age, has a crooked leg from an old injury left untreated, but she can walk short distances and climb stairs.

Please help find her a wonderful home where she will be showered with adoration.

Bobby -- Before & After

Bobby, a young Toy Poodle mix, has been holding his head up since his grooming at Hair of the Dog spa, underlining the emotional impact that cleaning and tender care provides.

We soon hope to see Bobby smiling, with sparks of hope in his eyes.

He is a very gentle boy, 3 years of age, good with dogs, and now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

At the time of rescue Bobby was found with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, not neutered).

Rescued baby ducks needing safe, lifelong homes.

Anne, Charlotte, and Emily are three of the six baby ducks who need responsible, forever homes where they will be safe and respected.

Their previous owners purchased them as Easter gifts for their children, then quickly tired of them and considered them a burden.

The babies, about 8 weeks of age, are fully domesticated and friendly, and rely completely on people for survival.

Two (including Anne) are Pekins, two (including Charlotte) are Khaki Campbells, and two (including Emily) are Mallards.

They are ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help us find wonderful, lifelong homes for them.

Come meet Joseph and you will likely find him right at the front of the condo playroom door to welcome you.

He is wonderfully social, terrific with people, cats, and dogs.

Joseph is an orange tabby & white shorthair, 2 years young, neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

He is making a remarkable recovery from deplorable neglect.  Joseph was emaciated and filthy at the time of rescue.

Thank you also to the generous donors who funded his eye surgeries (to correct entropion -- inward folding eyelids).

Joseph is now thriving and ready to join a forever, indoor-only home.

Lily, dreaming of a hero.

Lily cannot see you, but she responds to your touch and melts in your arms when you talk to her reassuringly.

She is a lovely shorthair with tortoiseshell coloring, about 4 years of age and spayed, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Lily's eyes were not fully formed (birth defect), so she is mostly blind.  She learns rooms quickly.

At the time of rescue her previous owners were attempting to have her destroyed and cited her eyes as the reason.

Lily has tremendous devotion to share.  Please help find her a hero.

Ace, a handsome and hopeful Dachshund mix, is unrecognizable from when we rescued him 5 weeks ago.

A victim of abuse, he refused to let people touch him and his eyes were dulled, as if he had given up hope.

Ace is still afraid of strangers, but he's warming to people well and today he is able to debut for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Ace is 4 years of age, neutered, and good with other dogs.  Please help find an experienced home where his progress will continue and he reaches his full loving potential.

Rainbow's colorful personality is shining so beautifully, thanks to volunteers and staff who have helped her recover from abuse.

Her favored activities include fetching tennis balls and kissing people on their chins.

Rainbow is a golden-eyed Bully mix, 5 years of age and spayed, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is wonderful with people, but needs to be the only animal in the home.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing Rainbow's progress in these fantastic new portraits!

Nancy reminds us that every single day with quality of life is precious.

She is a happy girl, a pretty Miniature Pinscher, 8 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

When Nancy's previous owner surrendered her she was in distress from heart failure, wheezing and struggling to breathe.

Nancy is now on daily medications and breathing well.  There was damage to her heart, so she requires a very leisurely lifestyle (free of strain, heavy exertion, or extreme heat).

Please help find Nancy a hero who will treasure the moments that she has left on Earth, whether it be months or years is unknown.

Joanie & her baby daughters.

Joanie, mom

Chenoa ("dove")

Dyani ("deer")

Halona ("fortunate")

Hurit ("beautiful")

Kamama ("butterfly")
Joanie and her 5 adorable daughters are ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

You may remember their rescue earlier this year -- mom and newborns were found in a vacated house.

Joanie is a small Border Collie & Spaniel mix, 2 years of age, spayed, and she is deaf.   Please use consistent hand signals and body language to communicate effectively with her.

Joanie raised her girls -- Chenoa, Dyani, Halona, Huri, and Kamama -- in a nurturing foster home.  The puppies are now 3 months of age and spayed.  All are playful and loving.

Please help find wonderful, lifelong homes for all of them.

Foster heroes needed, please!

For fragile, motherless newborns, like Travis, a foster hero is the surrogate parent he needs to survive.

Babies without moms are being found throughout the community, especially this time of year, and we ask for your help in finding foster parents who can provide nurturing care and socialization until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered and adopted.

Travis and his four siblings were found in urgent need in someone's storage unit.  They are just days old and need bottle-feeding every few hours.

If you can foster, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Katelyn.

If you cannot foster but would like to help:

Thank you very much!

Mary Beth

These 5 zany little angels -- Alex, Janet, Mary Beth, Savannah, and Wyland -- debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

All are playful and affectionate, small Heinz 57s (cute blends of Terrier, Chihuahua, and other breeds), now 3 months of age, and spayed/neutered.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

Alex and Wyland are boys.  Janet, Mary Beth, and Savannah are girls.

They were found motherless in the backyard of an abandoned house.

Please consider adopting a pair for lifetime companionship.

Honeybug -- Before & After

Honeybug, April 10

Honeybug, an irresistible sweetheart recovering well from severe neglect, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He is a Maltese mix, about 5 years of age, good with other friendly dogs, and now neutered.

Special thanks to Hair of the Dog spa for his grooming transformation.

Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming to keep Honeybug feeling and looking his best, knowing he is loved and cared for.

Chancely -- Before & After

Chancely, April 10

Chancely, shortly after his rescue

Chancely, shortly after his rescue
Now 17 pounds heavier and healthier, making a triumphant recovery from starvation, Chancely is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

He is a small Boxer mix with tiger/golden brindle coloring, 6 years of age and neutered.

Chancely is very grateful for kindness and he seems to be compatible with other friendly dogs too.

(At the time of rescue he was at another shelter and weighed 32 pounds.  This morning Chancely weighed 49 pounds.)

Phoebe, a very special puppy needing a hero.

Phoebe loves bonding with people and being reassured that she is safe and adored.

She is a Belgian Shepherd mix junior puppy, 8 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is good with other dogs.

Please share her post to help find Phoebe a hero. Due to either birth defects or early life trauma, she has a number of challenges, including weak hips and possible epilepsy.  Phoebe has improved during her weeks with us, but some of her challenges will be life-long.

Phoebe was found roaming the streets and her microchip ID traced back to a previous owner who refused her.

Please come meet this special angel and open your heart to her.

Danielle is an endearing Bichon Frise mix puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

She is 6 months of age, now spayed and good with other dogs.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard, as well as budget for regular professional grooming.

Rescued from severe neglect, Danielle is beginning to understand that she is worthy of love.

Special thanks to Hair of the Dog spa for cleaning and grooming her so beautifully for a fresh start.

Very inspiring update to share about Blue!

Blue/Tulip, 2015

Blue/Tulip, 2015

Blue, 2011
Blue, now named "Tulip", is 15 years of age and dearly loved.

Some of you may remember her from years ago (2011) when rescued from abuse and neglect.

Her mom, Jamie, says she is very spunky and loves attention and her family pack.  Jamie says Tulip has been "an amazing gift" to her family.

Included here are her new portraits (taken at Pet'ographique), along with her picture from 2011.

Blue's feature in September, 2011.
