It's never too late to finally know love. Adopt me, please.

Naturally tuxedo-clad, Cheerio is handsome and debonair, and relishing loving attention, perhaps for the first time in his life. Abandoned in a box outside, a Nevada SPCA volunteer found him, and his condition indicated years of severe neglect. His ear infections are now healed, but his ears will remain curled for the rest of his life. Despite his past, Cheerio believes in people and yearns for comfort and reassurance. He is a 10-year-old feline, though young at heart, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org). Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these exceptional portraits of Cheerio to help him get adopted.

I will sing my love to you!

Manley is a terrific, well-behaved boy who loves children.  He hopes to be adopted soon into a loving, committed family where he will be cherished everyday. He is a handsome Rottweiler mix, neutered boy, 4 years of age.  He knows many training commands, including: sit, stay, and speak.  He also loves playing with tennis balls. We rescued Manley from a government-funded shelter.

Can people see all of the good inside of me?

Scottie is a golden-hearted treasure and he anxiously awaits a loving, forever home. He is a fun-loving and exceptionally handsome Wirehaired Fox Terrier, neutered boy, approximately 8 years of age.  He is great with people and dogs. We rescued Scottie a few months ago from a government-funded shelter.  We cannot understand why he has been overlooked, so we asked Pet'ographique to take his portrait and capture his kind nature. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Scottie by name and spend time with this sweetheart in our adoption courtyard.

They say I am a lovely gem.

Suzy Q is a friendly, enthusiastic wiggle-worm awaiting a forever home. She is a beautiful Beagle, spayed girl, 3 years young.  Besides enjoying people and dogs, she is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained. This portrait, courtesy of Pet'ographique , captures her sweet spirit perfectly.

I still believe in the altruism of people.

Despite years of neglect, Lottie has not given up on people. The months have rolled by since her rescue, and she is trying to remain patient awaiting her new owner and forever home. Being loved would be a dream come true for her. Lottie is a blond German Shepherd mix, spayed lady, 8 years of age. She has mild arthritis, but delights in leisurely walks and tender affection. These gorgeous portraits of Lottie are courtesy of Pet'ographique .

I am ready to be your very own little superstar!

Look who loves the camera!  Bobo relished the attention of being in the spotlight at Pet'ographique's portrait studio to take these photographs to help him find a forever home. Bobo is a parti-colored shorthair, cute as can be, neutered boy, 5 years of age. He wsa rescued from an abusive home.  Quick movements still alarm him, but his progress has been remarkable. Please ask for Bobo by name in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

Will a loving, nurturing foster mom please help me and my other baby siblings?

Image
Miranda Miranda and her 7 siblings need a foster home. They are about 5 weeks of age. A man threw a box in our lobby and then ran to his car, so we have no background on them or what happened to their momma. They were terrified, but we have been comforting them. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Lara before 4pm if you can help these babies with nurturing care for a few weeks until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered and then adopted. Thank you.

I wanna be with my daddy forever.

Vito & Vince Vito & Vince We rescued these handsome boys from a government-funded shelter.  Vito (right) is the son, about 8 months of age.  His young father, Vince , is about 2 years of age. Vito & Vince are Dachshund mixes, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  They are initially shy with strangers, but warm with those they know and trust. Soul-mates, as well as father & son, they need to remain together forever. Please ask for the boys by name when you visit Nevada SPCA.

Our foster mom showed us that humans are capable of kindness.

Cuddles Knightly Whisper  Loving foster care saved these baby girls. We named them Cuddles , Knightly , and Whisper . They are adorable Australian Shepherd mix pups, now 3 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA ( www.nevadaspca.org ). Rescued from horrendous living conditions, along with 6 young adults (who are already available for adoption), we found them stuffed so tightly into crates with adults they were in danger of being crushed. But their foster mom has showered them with love and showed them the altruism that humans are capable of. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

We hope to become as sweet and cheerful as our mama.

Joey & Lizzy   Joey & Lizzy are precious, affectionate babies, brother and sister. They were born and raised in a foster home.  They are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption into loving, forever homes. We rescued their mother, and named her Kay .  She was on the streets and gave birth just 5 days after being rescued.  Kay , pictured below, has already been spayed and adopted. Joey & Lizzy are Chihuahua mixes and all indications are that they will remain small like their mom.  Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. Both pups are very social, so we prefer that they get adopted together or go to a home with another dog they can bond with. Kay, mother to Joey & Lizzy

Keep us together forever, please.

Cheyenne & Dakota Cheyenne Dakota Cheyenne & Dakota are tiny lovebugs and soul-mates awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA ( www.nevadaspca.org ). They are teacup Chihuahuas, girl and boy, spayed/neutered, 7-8 years of age, and fine with other dogs.  They are also reportedly housetrained (with pee pads).  Cheyenne & Dakota adore adults, but since Cheyenne can get grumpy, they require an adult-only home. Strongly bonded, they need to remain together forever.  Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for them by name. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these fun, amazing portraits.

Let us add royalty to your life and home.

Windsor Windsor Elizabeth and Stuart Elizabeth , Stuart , and Windsor are three regal, gorgeous peacocks we rescued from a government-funded shelter. They are terrific together and good with other animals too.  (We have had them around a pot belly pig and rooster.) Peacocks need experienced homes for a host of reasons, including their need and desire to climb high.  For example, when needing rescue, most calls come from people who find them on their rooftops. We would love the trio to be adopted together , but this is not required.  Please ask for them by name at Nevada SPCA.

I was trapped in a drain pipe and hoped someone would hear my cries for help.

Image
Trapped in a drain pipe, his cries for help saved his life. All four feet declawed, he had no chance outdoors on his own, and he was filthy and so skinny his spine was bulging from his back. Stewie though has made a triumphant recovery! He looks like a million bucks and he is feeling secure in a Cat Condo playroom, anxiously awaiting a loving, forever home. Stewie is neutered, 6 years of age, and he adores kind, gentle people.

My near-starvation is becoming just a distant memory now.

We rescued Heathrow from a city park known for a large coyote population.  He was emaciated and starving. Domesticated bunnies cannot survive on their own, yet they are released in countless numbers into parks and golf courses when they are no longer wanted, perishing to the elements or becoming an easy meal to a coyote or bird of prey. Heathrow is one of the lucky ones to have survived such reckless treatment and he is now in the safety of Nevada SPCA.  But he needs a loving, forever home of his own. Heathrow is an American breed rabbit, neutered boy, 1 year of age.  He is well-behaved and very sweet and handsome. June is Adopt-A-Lovebug month at Nevada SPCA, so his adoption fee has been reduced to $20 (from $35) and he is ready for adoption today.   Please visit and ask for him by name.

My previous owners did not want me. And, sadly, I knew it.

Yoda Boy is humble and longs for attention. Praise him and snuggle with him and he lights up with gratitude. Yoda Boy is a Chihuahua mix, neutered, 7 years of age, and he gets long very well with other sweet dogs. Passed from person to person, perhaps he stopped believing that anyone would ever stick with him. Please adopt him and restore his belief in the power of humans to love and commit to family members. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these captivating portraits to help him get adopted.

Can anyone see the beauty inside me?

We are baffled that the months have rolled by and Cara is still not yet in a loving home. She has a great joy for life and a very friendly demeanor.  Give her a few minutes of your time and certainly you will be as charmed with her as we are. Cara is a Miniature Pinscher, spayed girl, 6 years of age.  She is good with dogs and children. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these beautiful portraits that capture her personality and essence to help her get adopted.
