Pookie , 13, craves attention and barks in sorrow if he thinks you are ignoring him. When you talk sweet, he beams with overflowing joy. Pookie is a Lhasa Apso & Shih-Tzu, housetrained, good with cats & dogs & kids, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He was surrendered due to his previous owner's hardship.

Popeye's two favorite words may be "Do you?" The beginning of that sentence gets him excited to show you he is very ready for a meal or a delicious treat! Popeye is an adorable Miniature Schnauzer, 2 years young, neutered, good with dogs and mature kids, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He needed us due to his previous owner's health problems.

Burton , 9, pleads for someone gentle to love.  He is a Toy & Terrier mix with expressive eyes and he frequently gestures with his front legs to communicate with you too.  Burton is good with other dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . He was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity.

Clarissa , solemn and soulful at only 2 years of age, needs someone to love and wholeheartedly adore. She is a darling girl, a blend of Chihuahua & Miniature Pinscher with especially attractive facial coloration and warm eyes, good with other dogs, housetrained, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .    Clarissa needed us when her previous owners selected an apartment complex that does not allow dogs.

Hidalgo as a "lap dog" with Wayne, one of his caretakers Hidalgo gently grabs your hand if you forget to keep petting him. He likes to lean against the people he trusts and bonds with. Strangers worry him and he likes to have a few minutes to warm to new people before they move their hands quickly near his head. Hidalgo is a handsome, enormous Great Dane and he is good with other dogs (unconfirmed) and mature kids. He is 6 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption on Sunday, September 4, at 10am at Nevada SPCA. We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help. Ronald , so hopeful for a wonderful home, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a Corgi mix, good with other dogs, neutered boy, about 6 years of age.  Ronald was found walking in a street in an area of southern Nevada known for a large presence of coyotes, with no sign of responsible ownership.

Monroe , 2, at the time of rescued from another shelter, was so painfully matted that he didn't want to be touched. Further, his vision was completely obstructed by knotted tangles crusted over his face. We shaved Monroe and discovered the warmest, wisest eyes! He is a 12-pound blend of Poodle, Terrier, and Toy breeds, neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Now that the knots are gone he is less afraid of being touched. Monroe is shy and likes being with soft-spoken, gentle people.

Melanie craves reassurance. She is very confused about being homeless and worries. But when you gently comfort her, she begins to relax and shine. Melanie is a Heinz 57 with Retriever & Ridgeback (75 pounds), beautiful girl, spayed, 5 years of age, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help with her timidity.

Simba's desperation for kindness is easily seen in his eyes. He is safe now and beginning to understand this, and he's especially drawn to people who talk to him reassuringly with soft voices. Simba is an earnest boy, an attractive blend of Italian Greyhound & Parson Russell Terrier, 7 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA. Linda's warm eyes reveal her emotions and glow when you tell her she's a sweetheart.  She is a dainty young girl, likely a Terrier & Chihuahua mix, 3 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Linda was found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, not spayed).

Nina , a warm-hearted and quiet-natured girl, asks for someone to love, forever.  She is a beautiful spirit, a Cocker Spaniel mix, spayed and 4 years of age, housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs and mature kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Nina needed us due to her previous owner's hardship.

Gracie's emotions are easy to read in her expressive face. Her eyes are filled with warmth when she knows she is the center of attention. Gracie is a Labrador Retriever mix, plump at 94 pounds, a spayed girl, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    She was at another shelter and needed our help.

Baby seems to glow with kindness and charm -- she has brilliant radiance and you will notice this immediately when you come meet her.  She loves kids and she is reportedly housetrained and compatible with other dogs.  Baby is a petite, blue & white Staffordshire Terrier, about 5 years of age, a spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Her previous owner surrendered her and admitted she did nothing wrong (and our experience is that the overwhelming vast majority of homeless animals have done absolutely nothing wrong to deserve losing their families).  Please ask for Baby by name when you visit.
