Update: Robin was adopted on January 4th! The cutest little wiggleworm, Robin is a petite puppy full spice and vinegar and a zest for life. He has come far in the past four weeks. At the time of rescue his body was weak with the deadly parvo virus and his eyes had lost their sparkle as he was losing the fight for his life. We had extensive medical treatment provided for Robin and he made a full recovery. Robin is a Rat Terrier mix, neutered male, about 3 months of age. We expect him to remain small. He debuts for adoption today. Please remember to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.

I have endured all my little body can take.

Update: Eppy was adopted on December 19th! Eppy is only 6 months of age, but she has already overcome two serious life-threatening challenges. First, she was in an abusive home. As you can see in her eyes, she is quite wary of new people and new situations, wondering whether harm is about to again come her way. Trusting people will take time and patience in an experienced, adult-only home with a steady lifestyle routine. Second, at the time of rescue Eppy was sick with the dreaded parvo virus. We had extensive medical care provided for her and she made a full recovery. Eppy is a pretty, petite Toy & Terrier mix, spayed female, 6 months of age. She is good with other sweet dogs, and further, we believe another dog in the home will help her adjust better. This baby girl deserves to now see the best of human nature. She debuts for adoption today.

I am a showstopper!

Update: Chloe was adopted on September 12th! Adopt Chloe and you will have a superstar for life. She is a cheerful Boxer mix puppy who is full of personality and constantly entertains with her super cute behaviors and facial expressions. Chloe is spayed and about 5 months of age. She debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She enjoys other dogs very much. Chloe has made a tremendous turn-around. When we rescued her she was skin and bones, very ill with the dreaded parvo virus and demodex. Her owner could not (or would not) provide emergency medical care for her, so death was a certainty if we had not stepped in to save her. Thanks to attentive medical and foster care, she made a full recovery. Now she has her whole life ahead of her, and we know in a committed, loving home she will realize her full potential.

Cute, cured, and counting on a wonderful new life.

Update: Princeton was adopted on August 27th! Princeton is a charming, innocent, and playful 3 month old puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is neutered and most likely a Labrador Retriever mix, perhaps with Shepherd, though it is very difficult to guess well when puppies are this young. But we can safely estimate that he will grow to medium or large size. We rescued Princeton in late June. He was very sick with the parvo virus, but his owner was unable or unwilling to provide the emergency medical care needed to try and save his life. We had intensive care provided for Princeton at Dewey Veterinary Medical Center, which shares the building with us. He made a full recovery. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home & yard for Princeton's safety. Also, he will need your patience and guidance to complete basic training, including housetraining.

Please do not overlook me. I am ready to go home with you.

We cannot imagine why this fun-loving, outgoing, and affectionate puppy is getting passed over by visitors. We find him incredibly adorable. Friday has immense joy for life and he loves people. He's good with other dogs too, especially those who will play with him. He is a medium-sized Heinz 57 with Labrador Retriever, possibly with some Bully too. He is approximately 9 months of age. Friday needed rescue when he contracted the parvo virus. His owner could not (or would not) provide emergency medical care to save his life, so we stepped in and had that care provided for him. After extensive treatment, he made a full recovery. Friday has a very sunny disposition and he brings good cheer with him everywhere he goes. Please provide basic obedience training for him to help him become the best he can be. You can ask for him by name at our front desk so he can join you in the courtyard for playtime and a meet-and-greet. Addendum: Friday is now just under a year of age. He is rep...

I am big love in a tiny package.

Update: Skreech was adopted on August 27th! Skreech is a super cute, rambunctious, and playful Chihuahua puppy. He is approximately 3 months young, neutered, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Skreech when he was sick with the dreaded parvo virus. His owner was unwilling or unable to give him emergency medical care, and without it, death would have been certain. We had the intensive care provided for him at Dewey Veterinary Medical Center and he made a full recovery. To err on the safe side in the short-term for other dogs, he should not be directly exposed to any unvaccinated dogs. Skreech is ready to provide you with a lifetime of laughs, kisses, hugs, and wonderful memories. Please ask for him by name at Nevada SPCA.

I am well now and ready to start my new life.

Update: Elle was adopted on December 22nd! Updated with new picture and profile information on November 9th. Elle is a darling puppy with a beautiful, innocent heart. Elle is an American Bulldog, spayed, and approximately 9 months young. She is available for adoption at Nevada SPCA today. We rescued Elle from an owner. She was very sick with the deadly parvo virus and he could not afford to provide emergency medical care for her, which would have resulted in certain death. We arranged for intensive care for her and she made a full recovery. Elle is a loving girl, though head-strong, and she demands lots of your time and affection. Bully knowledge and/or experience is preferred for her. Please come meet this little angel. She is best as the only pet in the home.

Are you the special one for me?

Update: Cookie was adopted on July 18th! Like many puppies who have recovered from something devastating, Cookie is tentative, unsure whether the world is kind. She recently had a fragile hold on life. She was very sick with the deadly parvo virus and her owner refused emergency medical care needed to save her life. We rescued Cookie from certain death. Thanks to donations from members and supporters we had intensive care provided for her at the Dewey Veterinary Medical Center and she made a full recovery. This is a wondrous day for this baby girl. She is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. She is a Spaniel mix, perhaps with Toy too, spayed, and approximately 5 months of age. We believe she will either stay small or grow only to medium size in adulthood. Cookie will do best in a gentle home. She adores other dogs, so a new big sister or big brother dog may help her adjust and feel welcome just that much faster. To all of you who support Nevada SPCA's rescue & rehabi...

A bright new world awaits me!

Update: Delilah was adopted on August 22nd! Delilah is a blooming flower, awakening to the realization that some people are loving and caring and compassionate. Her bleak, unloved life has suddenly and radically changed, and she is bright-eyed for the new possibilities for her future. Delilah is most likely a Lhasa Apso mix with Toy & Terrier. She is a spayed female, approximately 3 years of age. She was in shocking condition when we rescued her. It was clear she had accumulated three years' worth of matted tangles, and they were stinky and filthy and painfully dug into her skin. Worse yet, she was deathly sick with the dreaded parvo virus and required emergency medical care, which her previous owner, of course, refused. We put her in immediate intensive care at the Dewey Veterinary Medical Center. After extensive treatment, she made a full recovery. Now, Delilah is groomed and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. A very patient home is needed as she learns to a...

Thank you for saving me with emergency care.

Update: Tribble was adopted on June 12th! Tribble is one of four more puppies whose lives were in extreme danger when their various owners refused to provide emergency medical care for them when they contracted the parvo virus. Without immediate veterinary care, death would have been certain. We rescued them and all four made full recoveries, after we had extensive veterinary work done on each of them. Besides Tribble, the other four are Saki & Sushi, who are Maltese mixes, and Tinkerbelle, a Teacup Chihuahua. Tribble is a precious, petite Pekingese mix, spayed, approximately three months young. She enjoys other dogs and she needs regular grooming, so budget extra accordingly. Tribble will do best with a gentle lifestyle. Puppies require experienced homes. Please come meet Saki, Sushi, Tinkerbelle, and Tribble today at Nevada SPCA.
