Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Jessup's eyes sparkle when you bring him new toys.  He is a fun-loving junior puppy with a light-hearted nature we hope he always keeps!  Jessup is a tuxedo blend of breeds, including Bully and Retriever, almost 10 months of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Chevy , young at heart at 12 years of age, likes chasing rolled-up paper balls.  He is a handsome medium-hair tuxedo, previously declawed, a neutered boy, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Chevy became homeless when his previous owners divorced.

Bonnie , a radiant young girl, shines when you tell her it's time for a walk or playtime in the backyard with you.  She is a wonderfully expressive blend of breeds, including Retriever, 3 years of age, housetrained, good with kids, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Bonnie was surrendered by her previous owner who believed she was jealous of other dogs getting more attention than her.

Jaylen cautiously looks up at new people pleading for their kindness and acceptance.    When he knows you are pleased with him, his posture improves and he prances at your side for a walk. Jaylen is a young, medium-size blend of many breeds (just 38 pounds), a neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his severe trembling in fear.    We placed Jaylen with a confident dog to share his kennel and his trembling ceased immediately.

Von is a youngster with an adventurous spirit.  Tell him he gets to go with you -- whether a walk, hike, or simple trip to the store -- and his heart sings!  Von is a small, tuxedo Heinz 57 with unique good looks, 3 years young, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Von is good with dogs and kids, plus housetrained and crate-trained.  He needed us due to his previous owners' hardship.

Angie is an adorable junior puppy, playful and good-natured, ready to devote herself to someone who will cherish her forever.  She is a Labrador Retriever mix, 6 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Angie enjoys other dogs.  We rescued her from a shelter that ran out of space for her.

Rugger's cute yawn Rugger (pictured above) and his sister, Faith (pictured below), are the first 2 of 10 Bully puppies ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.   (Their siblings will be ready in the days and weeks to come.) You may recall their rescue in June. The 10 babies were at another shelter that asked for our help. They were just 16 days old and confiscated from a breeder. Since then they have been lovingly raised and socialized in wonderful foster homes. Rugger loves to lick hands and faces. Faith coos and melts in gentle arms. Both are remarkably huggable and lovable!    They are 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and expected to grow to medium -size. (Their father is unknown, but suspected of being a Bully breed too.) 10 babies in June, the day of their rescue Faith

Lisa Dolly Dillan Lisa , Dolly , and Dillan are 3 of the 12 rescued kittens ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA ( www.nevadaspca.org ). Another 40 rescued kittens will be ready for adoption tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 10am! Lisa begins purring the moment you pick her up. She enjoys wrestling and playing with other kittens. She has been lovingly raised in a foster home since her rescue. Dolly and Dillan , sister and brother, have also been raised in loving foster care since their rescues. They are a bit shy with new people, but warm well to other cats and kind children.

Moe is charismatic and confident.  He loves people and greets strangers with ease.  If Moe sees you with toys, especially wand toys, he runs to you and becomes kitten-like and acrobatic.  He is an exceptionally handsome tuxedo medium-hair, 2 year young and neutered, fine with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Levi would love to get to know you.  He is an amiable youngster with a glowing spirit and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Levi is a good-looking Retriever mix, 3 years of age and neutered, good with cats & dogs & kids, plus housetrained too.

Cole hopes his new owners will love puppy kisses! Tell him he is wonderful and he'll lick your ears, chin, and cheeks, so grateful for acceptance. Cole is a fun-loving baby boy, a tuxedo Chihuahua, almost 4 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.    He enjoys other playful dogs.    Cole was found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.

"The Boston Puppies" -- Tracy and her brothers DeCarlo , Ga ry , and Tom -- need a foster parent please for approximately 5 weeks.    If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for DJ. The babies have been in two loving foster homes already since their rescue. They are affectionate and playful, and enjoy playing with cats. They are about 7 weeks of age. Their mother, Barbie , also rescued, is a Boston Terrier & Chihuahua mix. Their teeth are hurting her and she no longer wants to be around them. ( Barbie will be spayed soon and ready for adoption.) We are hoping for a foster home where all four can remain together for continuing socialization, or at least fostered in pairs of two so that each has a sibling companion at all times. Thank you.

Robbie beams when he knows you are happy with him. He longs for acceptance and wants to devote himself to kind people who will accept his unconditional devotion. Robbie is a young Labrador Retriever mix with tuxedo coloring, 3 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is housetrained and good with other dogs. Robbie was at another shelter that asked for our help. (His previous family reportedly engaged in a lot of screaming, which caused him to hide under the bed, and the children taunted him and pulled on his tail.)    Please help find a responsible, stable loving home for Robbie .

If you patiently give Selena time to warm to you, her fear subsides and she begins smiling and shining. Selena , reportedly rescued from a loveless and neglectful home, was denied proper socialization.    But she is ready to bloom once she is with people who treasure her and on a stable lifestyle routine.    Selena is a unique, medium-size (36 pounds) blend of Corgi and Mini Bully (with a very long body and short legs), 1 year young and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Marley and Mason , brothers, and three more of their siblings, are ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  They are playful and very well socialized thanks to a wonderful foster home. Both are compatible with adult cats and friendly dogs.  The kittens (and their mother, also rescued, and who will be available too for adoption soon) were rescued from a suspected breeder/hoarder.  Marley and Mason are tuxedo shorthairs with smoke marbling, 3 months of age and neutered.  Please kitten-proof your home for their safety.

Lia , a junior puppy with a beautiful soul, loves cuddling. She will lay her head on your shoulder or tuck under your chin to bond and feel reassured.  She is a medium-size blend of Border Collie or Smooth Collie with Labrador Retriever, about 5 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Lia was at another shelter that asked for our help because of derogatory statements made by her previous owner about her compatibility with other dogs.  Our experience is that she enjoys other sweet dogs and may love to have a big sister or brother dog for guidance. Axel is a cute junior puppy who does not want to miss out on any fun.  Sometimes when he rests he wears this worried expression, like he's watching the parade marching away without him.  We look forward to the day when Axel realizes he is loved and safe in a forever home.  Axel is a Labrador Retriever mix, about 9 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He enjoys playing with other dogs, and perhaps the more social his new home, the better.

At the time of rescue this earnest little fellow's left eye was almost out of its socket, gauged while he reportedly tried to crawl underneath a fence to get away from the sound of a fire engine siren.  His previous owner could not afford veterinary care and surrendered him to Nevada SPCA.  We rushed him to a veterinary hospital and the veterinarian was able to save his eye.  Dasher is a tuxedo Chihuahua mix, well-behaved and very sweet, about 10 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Dasher is good with dogs and reportedly compatible with kind children of all ages, plus housetrained too.  Dasher longs for a stable, peaceful home environment, free of loud noises.

Jackie Maddy Moe Moe , and his sisters, Jackie and Maddy , are lovingly nicknamed "The Peppy Puppies" and they are now ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. These angels were just a week of age at the time of rescue.  Their mother, named Joy (who is also ready for adoption and pictured below), and two other adult dogs were rescued too.  Their previous owner said he "can't deal with them". We put The Peppy Puppies immediately into foster care, along with their mom, so that they could be raised and socialized in the comfort of a loving home environment. The Peppy Puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for forever homes.  We believe they are a blend of Beagle, Dachshund, and Spaniel, so we expect them to grow to medium size.
